We found Carlos after getting bids from two other companies. Not only was his bid much lower than the other two, Carlos was very patient with me as I was juggling a tired 1 month old grandbaby as he prepared his estimate. We first had his crew complete an interior and partial exterior paint job at our recently purchased rental property. Carlos and crew have prepped and painted our rental homes, as well as our own home, for years. This includes inside and outside and includes the windy corrosive salt spray conditions of the Pacific Coast down to the difficult multi-story stairwell caulking and painting jobs. Every job has been performed expertly the first time on time and as bid. No call backs. No painting around switch, outlet or light fixture plates. Everything done properly old school. We love these guys! We had a wedding on our property here in late June. Much of it was going to be around our old beat up metal barn and shop. Our first thought was to replace the metal or maybe even the building but then thought to see if it could be painted, a long shot. We've used Distinctive Enterprises & Painting several times in the past and sought his advice. Carlos' bid was a fraction of the cost of replacement and as usual, it turned out beautiful. He faced several challenges including a short timeframe, showery weather and tons of rust. He made use of every dry moment, late days and weekends and used as many people as it took to get the job done with plenty of time to spare. His foreman Abel was wonderful. The whole crew was respectful, skilled and conscientious. The neighbors are totally impressed with the facelift and we got many many complements from the wedding party and guests. Fantastic job, some extras were included with no extra charge and we're thrilled with the results. Like most people, our house is the most expensive item we own. It’s a continual investment to maintain for your retirement but mostly a place to enjoy and call home. It’s hard to find knowledgeable and honest contractors to keep your home in repair to prevent future costly problems. Our last painter was lacking and it showed with our house paint only lasting 7yrs and causing expensive leak damage repairs. So we were more particular in choosing our next painter and word of mouth goes a long way. Carlo’s “Distinctive Enterprises” came highly recommended. His prices are very reasonable but mostly we’re thrilled with his expertise, attention to detail, and professional manner of always being available and showing up as scheduled. He took the time to explain all his recommended repairs and why. His crew were extremely polite, friendly, and very conscious of keeping work areas clean and free of debris. We live in a court and all our neighbors appreciated how easy it was to have “Distinctive Enterprises” in our neighborhood. We’re continually getting drive by compliments of how fantastic our house looks and want their contact info. During our final inspection while showing Carlos what I was unhappy his impatience was obvious. He spoke to me in a condescending tone stating that “We don’t do that. Read your contract.” After hearing this I asked my husband to handle it and walked away before I had finished showing what I thought needed to be fixed since it was obvious that he wasn’t taking me seriously.
