Chris-a certified arborist-came out to diagnose a problem with my huge cedar tree. He was very knowledgeable and spent close to an hour. He dug around the entire tree looking for root rot, inspected the bark, and surveyed my lawn and the neighbor's looking for signs of activity that might cause stress on the tree. Everything looked fine, and he concluded that the most likely cause was age-almost 60 years-and a tangled root system. He advised me to not spend any money in an attempt to save the tree. He said I could probably get 10 years more from it before it would have to be taken down. Chris also looked at several other things in my yard and gave welcome advice. On top of his excellent service and professionalism, HE DID NOT CHARGE ME FOR HIS WORK, saying that he really didn't do that much. In truth, he did A LOT!

Chris estimated and made suggestions for proposed work. Will did the pruning. The established trees and shrubs looked healthier and more manicured, while preserving our privacy.

When I first moved into this house the tree was dying. They gave me an estimate and I went with them. They have saved my tree and it is now beautiful and healthy. I am very happy with them and would highly recommend them to anyone.

They did a great job. Their arborists are very knowledgeable. When they took down the tree's they hauled off their mess. They did exactly what I asked them to do. I would recommend them to others and I will use them again in the future.

He said that one, the apricot, will simply always be a disease magnet because of the trees that surround it and the fact, that the Willamette Valley is a bad place for apricots to grow. That said, he provided us with two cost estimates: one for treating it each year and one for removing it. He also gave us some tips for taking care of some of our other trees. He was frank, informative, business-like, and focused on saving us money over the long term. His opinion was that it'd be better to remove it, but he was genuinely helpful with more options when I explained removal would not be a popular choice. We're going to get a second opinion and estimate, but I appreciated how easy it was to schedule an appointment, that he was punctual, and that he was very honest.

It was a very professional experience and I was very satisfied. They showed up when they were supposed to and did a good job.

Went very well. An arborist came to our house to quote the work and provided lots of good information on the plants we have (they were here before we moved in). Quote was detailed and provided costs per tree or grouping of hedge so we could pick what we needed most and maintain our budget. Work was done as scheduled and they did a great job cleaning up. This type of work is always more expensive than it seems it should be, and I think Collier is a little more expensive, but we wanted to get the work done right. And it was.

Four men did the work in two days. They were on time and professional. Beautiful results. We have several different species of trees that they trimmed according to the particular type of tree. Great work. Terrill, the owner, is a nice person.

This tree was looking horrible and I was debating over whether to remove or try to save. The tree is huge and extremely beautiful. We had just purchased home and needed advise. The arborist that came was great! He evaluated the tree said we could save it. The crew came and removed approximately 1/3 of internal branches of tree. The spray program went on through the winter, and when trees bloomed in spring, it was nothing less than spectacular. Neighbors commented that they never saw it bloom and didn't even know it was cherry tree. The spray program for all the fruit trees has been done without issues, and the trees look very well. I'll continue with yearly program @ $320.00/year.

They left me a well-described bid and several nice four-color pamphlets, all slipped into a yellow plastic bag. Their price was also THREE TIMES the business we ultimately went with. I don't know if they didn't want the job or what, but their bid exceeded by $2,000 even the next highest bid. (We got five or six.)

Quick response from office. Professional estimator who was able to determine whether two of the trees were past saving. When job was postponed by a day at the very last minute, was offered a 10% discount for inconvenience. On rescheduled day, three crew members arrived exactly on time. Our trees look absolutely beautiful. The star magnolia is blooming now and is stunning. Did not use wood chipper until later in the morning which I appreciated for the neighborhood's sake, and cleaned up every branch and twig. Were very careful to avoid damage to other vegetation. Asked me to inspect work before they were done cleaning so they could have addressed concerns if I had any. I didn't.

Asking for an estimate and scheduling the work were both very easy. I was not present when the work was performed, but when I got home the trees looked great. The crews thinned the trees and left enough branches to ensure that they will look good when they bloom. The crews also did a good job cleaning up the area after they were finished.

The tree was taken down in two hours, however sections of it were accidentally left behind in the nearby ivy. The company promptly came back (15 minutes) from the time I called to clean up what was originally missed. Everyone was very friendly and the job was completed as the estimate had described. What I was most impressed about was the paperwork that the company completed for me with no extra charge in order that I could obtain a tree removal permit from the City of Lake Oswego. That is usually a very complicated procedure and companies outside of the West Linn/ Lake Oswego area were unfamiliar with it, thus their bids did not include the necessary paperwork from an arborist. Also, the tree was to be cut down to ground level rather than have the stump removed. When I noticed that the tree was still a foot off of the ground the company fixed the problem immediately.

I have had Collier's arborists evaluating the problems with these trees for several years. I have routinely received prompt, detailed information about the problems and the options. Two men came to prune in July, and both were very knowledgeable about the goals and process of pruning. They kindly rearranged their schedules to remove a large amount of dead wood I decided I wanted pruned from the birches. They were more than technicians; they knew what they were doing and why. They were very careful with the dense under plantings of perennials. I have used other pruners in the past. They cost as much or more, and the actual pruning was done by people I believe did not understand the goals or process well.

Estimator visited our yard and gave us a guided tour of all of our trees in the entire yard. Was extremely helpful and informative. Did not sell their services very hard but gave us a very comfortable feeling of confidence of their abilities. Pruning crews visited twice. Arrived when scheduled. Were very courteous and informative. Did a fabulous job and cleaned up everything. Spraying crew did a very careful job and did some extra shrubs at no cost. Plan to continue to use their services next season and have recommended them to many friends.

These guys were great. The initial assessment was very thorough and the bid was competitive. It took two months to get an appointment, but it was during a very busy time of the season. When the crew arrived, they did not have a bucket truck as needed. They came back 3 days later; even though it was a short delay, I was impressed that they were able to come back out quickly. The two-man crew (John?) was very professional, described all the work, took my suggestions in terms of branches to be trimmed, and was overall excellent. The limbs were very large, but when they finished, you could barely tell they had been there. They chipped all the wood, raked and swept my yard, and even the street. Overall, these guys are the best.

Company and representative were very professional and prompt. Received bid immediately.

These are knowledgeable people, able to diagnose problems. Since they have been doing this treatment, the ageldids are under control, and the hedge thrives.

Arborist was on time and very knowledgeable. Crew was on time, very polite and did a great job.

Chris was knowledgeable and gave us good information on our general questions about various trees on our property. He did a professional analysis of the the issues involved in our proposed building project and its potential impact on our trees. He prepared a concise and useful report which we will use to apply for a variance to sidewalk placement. The report was prepared and mailed to us in a timely manner.

They are very responsive and professional, however, very overpriced.
