We purchased all new kitchen appliances. Refrigerator, dishwasher, and double oven/stove. We have had to call West Coast Appliance on numberous occasions for service. When we called them out last Nov. for an issue we were having with our self cleaning oven they came out and determined that it was a computer part and the part was ordered and later replaced. So I went to clean my oven again before Easter and pushing the cleaning buttons shut down my whole oven and stove. This is all the day before Easter. I phoned West
Coast Appliance and was told that it was probably the same thing as last Nov. They had us go and throw the curcit breaker to reset the oven. It DID NOT work! I was told that they would have to see when they were going to be in my area because we live so far out that they needed more service calls around us, and to call back on Monday when the Service Manager would be in. (ARE YOU KIDDING ME??!!) I was going to be cooking Easter dinner for 20 people at our home. When my husband phoned them at 9:00am Monday morning he was told that they would NOT service our Frigidaire Double oven and stove because the warranty was up in February and to call the company!! Even though the problem happened in November and should of been FIXED!! They even said, "it sounded like the same problem!!"

The technician knew exactly what to do to fix this (enlarging a vent inside the freezer). He was experienced, nice, didn't scratch the floor. Top notch. Problem is fixed as far as we can tell. He said he'd seen it lots of times before. I love hearing that - because he knew how to fix it.

Terribly. I have never been so frustrated or had as terrible customer service as I did with this company. This is the first time I have ever even complained publicly, but this is how bad my experience was.  As a physician, I scheduled 3 afternoons away from caring for patients to wait for them to meet me at a wide window of time (12-5 pm, e.g.). Each time, they no-showed, and did not call to apologize or reschedule. When I would call, they would take a message and still not return my call. Eventually they came when I was not home, took my check, said things were draining fine, and then when I kept calling to talk to someone about what might else be wrong/to troubleshoot the problematic draining and rotten smell, they did not return my call. They said their service call was good for a month; but they never returned to fix the problem and then acted as if I had the problem because I was growing frustrated.  When I eventually spoke to their manager when they had allowed the month-long period to essentially lapse without returning for followup, she did not apologize or could not explain why I had been stood up 3 times, never called back, and did not offer someone else to come out or address the problem.  I caution anyone in Southern Oregon against using this company  if you care about timeliness, respect, quality, & communication.  There are other businesses hoping to work hard for people's business and I suggest people use anyone else but West Coast Appliance.
