J & J TREE SVC

Great job. The crew was efficient, professional and quick without being careless. The removal was very tricky because of the size, location and lean of the tree, but J&J's crew was experienced and precise. They left the site cleaner than before and all for about half the price of the other two estimates I received. Thank you for a job well done!

started on time, insured no damage to house and sidewalks, cleaned all debris.

Everything went well and I was very satisfied. The front yard pine tree's large tree limbs were removed and whole tree pruned. The back patio was again level. The work was professionally done and everything was cleaned up and the debris hauled away. The two men who did the work were prompt and professional.

We have mixed feelings about J and J Tree Svc. To be fair, it might be due to our lack of knowledge about the tree-care industry. But here's what happened:
Called for appt to get large tree topped and thinned out. Needed more sun in yard for wife's therapy pool in backyard. He was hesitant to do much "topping", and patiently explained about trees and what is best to keep it healthy. He did get us more sun, and thinned them out. His crew was great. Worked efficiently and left the yard actually cleaner than when they came! Cost was $600, a good price compared to some.
But then 3 months later we had a large branch crack off and fall, leaving a torn edge with some hanging. This was November but there had been no storms or rain. Turns out it was a dead limb. We had to pay $120 MORE to get it cut off and removed. He was nice and friendly, and explained you can't predict these things, etc. We felt his crew (he didn't do the work himself) was suppose to have seen and removed that limb in the first place, and we should not have had to pay MORE. He said since he was already on our block that week working, he would give us a "discount" of only $120, since he didn't have to bring out his large truck and crew just for us.
We really liked him and his hard working crew. Very nice folks. But we still didn't think it fair to have to pay the extra. Just not sure on this one. He has great reviews from others, so will give him the benefit of the doubt here.

Dan called and kept me informed when he would be around to provide the estimate and later when the work was scheduled. Crew of 4 showed up with crane, cherry picker, and grinder to get the work done quickly and efficiently. Clean up was fine. I was very happy with their work and the result.

Dan promptly answered my voice mail inquiry. He kept me apprised of his planned date of visit. He did the work when he said he would.
He gave me options and let me know that he thought the cheapest and least expensive would be best. He was very professional.

They did a beautiful job. When I pulled into the driveway tonight, it looked as if the trees had come to life. We planted many trees 11 years ago and they desperately needed attention. Catalpa, plum, walnuts, birches, maples, firs, spruce, giant Sequoia, and many others. They took great care and clearly know what they are doing and love the trees. They are well equipped and left the property completely clean and undisturbed. They even kept their scheduling commitment, working through the current smoke-filled crisis in the Rogue Valley.

Dan was very professional and thoughtful. He discouraged me from some of the pruning that he felt was unnecessary, which of course saved money. He also made a decision to leave one tree because he realized I was losing a lot of privacy, but offered to come back at no charge if I still want it removed within a couple of months. However, I'm very glad he made that decision; he was right about the privacy issue.
They performed the work while I was at work, and left everything clean and neat. They even removed some piles of brush I had cut out myself but hadn't disposed of yet, which saved me the hassle of getting a truck to haul it away. I was very happy about that!
Very pleased with J and J Tree Service's work, and will definitely call them again for future needs.

Arrived on time. Cut down the tree, cleaned up and chipped all the branches. Cut up the tree in to firewood and left for me to donate to a church. Ground the remaining stump and roots. Totally cleaned up and swept street. Quick and thourough.

We purchased a home recently where someone had planted (what became) a very large tree about 10 feet from our pool. It was very messy and provided way too much shade for the pool area. They came right when they said, did an excellent job effeciently and did a great job on cleanup. I also liked it that the tree was then taken apart into small pieces and we donated it all to a local church charity for firewood for the needy. J and J facilitated all of this for us and sent me a reciept for my taxes to claim the donation. This was a step above and beyond and we appreciated it. Good, honest people.

Contracted with co to remove three large trees in yard. Had a spot open so they showed up 2 days early. Called to make sure this was ok. They handled the locate requests and permits. Arrived with equipment and went to work. Did an excellent job falling trees without any mishaps. Were all professional and polite. Was really surprised by the great job they did of clean up before they left. wood from trees we kept were cut into pieces small enough to split. all limbs were ground up and hauled away. Stumps were ground down 16 inches the next week. would have been quicker, but they were busy. One of the few co's I'v worked with I would not be worried about recomending to friends.

Everything was done very well. The shrubs were removed , the stumps were ground out and they cleaned up the area very nicely when they were done. No complaints at all, they did a good job. Also very good response when we called for an estimate of work. I would recommend this company.
