The job went well considering we were out of the country at the time.  Richard is very fair and will come back and make right anything that you feel needs correcting.  His crew at the time was not careful with shrubs around the house and left debris behind.  I would use him again, he is a very courteous person.

He did a great job. He was very professional.

I had read with concern a review from another customer after I had hired Richard Westerlund. The experience we had with him and his company was entirely different than the review I read. He was more than professional, very clean ( brought in carpet covers ) vaccumed as he went...the job was completed in the alloted time he had given..it was an excellent job..and we felt the price was fair..in fact he did a few more things for us than he had bid and he didn't charge us ( like painting the entire closet not just the ceiling) . He came in on budget, signed a work agreement , etc. We would highly reccomend Westerlund Painting.

Exterior painting. he asked for and accepted 1/2 the bid price upfront in cash and refused to provide a written contract. He soon added $850 of "extra" unnecessary work: $200 to sand siding that did not need to be sanded; $250 for primer that he probably did not buy (unwilling to produce sale receipt and no sales receipt on record at paint store; and $400 for labor to apply the primer - faux primer and faux labor. The blistered paint is still there in some places worse than before. Interior painting. He asked for and accepted 1/2 the bid price up front. He refused to provide a written contract. He refused to provide receipts for money paid. Interior oil paint on doors, windows, wood trim and some walls has insufficient coverage, skips/holidays, misses and/or is gritting/dirty and rough. Latex paint on walls has insufficient coverage on cut in areas around doors, windows, ceilings as well as some walls. He started painting the kitchen cupboards. When he left the cupboards were disassembled and partially painted. He demanded to be paid in full for unfinished work. His contractor license is exempt status but he employed his nephews and son to do much of the work. They are messy, irresponsible, unskilled, and disrespectful to me and my property. They helped themselves to tools and supplies in my garage.
