Home Luxury Services

About us

Started in 1985, Home Luxury Services originally was a home cleaning company. However, due to popular demand, owner Kelsey Kenna switched to a broader array of services. It wasn't that cleaning homes wasn't fulfilling; it's simply because there are more aspects to having a comfortable clean home, including yard work, handyman work and organization. The broadening of services paid off, as the company has more employees and is constantly busy, ready to meet the customer's needs. It's good feeling having a reputation for doing exceptional work. It is certainly what keeps homeowners coming our way. And is definitely something we are grateful for.

I called to have this company give me an estimate and clean my rental house. It had been fairly well cleaned previously, but I had workmen in there and it needed to be cleaned after them. I asked for the bathrooms to be cleaned, the floors vacuumed, the cabinets cleaned and the windows washed. The lady who answered the phone was very nice and was able to fit me in when I needed them. She asked if there were blinds on the windows and I said yes, but they were brand new and just installed so nothing needed to be done with them. The stove had been cleaned already so only the top needed to be wiped off. I had new carpet and vinyl laid, plus the entire place was just painted, ceilings and walls. I told her I needed the bathrooms cleaned, but the toilets had new seats and insides, there was a new sink and new faucets and new light fixtures so not a whole lot to do there other than redo the shower and tub and counters, mirrors and cabinets. She said they did a minimum of two people for two hours for $120 so I okay'd that and gave her my credit card number to take care of it. I didn't see how it could possibly take two people longer than that to clean the place. When I went out to check the place out, it looked okay, but I was not happy that political flyers were left around. Especially in a rental house, that is not acceptable and I would not have appreciated it in my own home either. I showed the house to some prospective renters one sunny day and was appalled at how dirty the windows were. There were streaks all over. I called and asked for a copy of my charges and left a message I was not happy with the windows. I received a copy of my credit card charge in the mail and it was for $180, not the $120 I had authorized. Upon showing the house at different times of the day, the cabinets were not washed (there were still greasy spots where they were usually opened) and I was embarrassed when someone opened a drawer and I could see how dirty it was. The bedroom doors also were very dusty, probably from the new carpet. There was also a cobweb under the kitchen cabinets that was still there after they had cleaned. I am not happy with the job they did, I don't see how they could have possibly been there for the seven hours they charged me for and I do not like authorizing a certain amount and being charged $60 more without even a phone call. I also found stuff on some windows that shows me they were never washed. I called them because of Angie's List responses, but was really disappointed.

Two cleaners from Dancing Brooms, came on time, fully prepared with their equipment and ready to go. I walked them through the house explaining what needed to be done and my priority list. My husband and I went out and upon our return the house looked great. Because I had hired them for a limited time frame they were not able to do everything on my list. But they walked me through, telling me what had been done, what was left and why. They also provided me with a checklist which showed on paper what they had completed so I can use this as reference for my next cleaning. I plan on hiring the company on a frequent basis to keep my house cleaning and shiny!

I usually ask to be the first house of the day on their schedule. If I request a later time, they are usually late (last time it was 57 minutes). However, once they do show up they do a nice job.

I WAS SATISFIED WITH THE SERVICE. THEY WERE PROFESSIONAL, LEFT ME A CHECK LIST OF WHAT THEY HAD DONE, AND WORKED DILIGENTLY THE WHOLE TIME THEY WERE HERE. I WOULD HIRE THEM AGAIN.
