I had Boss Exteriors reroof my house several years ago, they did an excellent job, with a couple of things that weren't right at first but they were very diligent to quickly remedy the problem. A little over a year ago we had a leak near our skylight that turned out to be incorrectly flashed, they fixed it promptly, no charge .Just recently another leak in the same place but this time it turned out it was the 24 plus year old skylight, another showed signs of failure so went with their recommendation to replace both skylights. The bid price was very reasonable and then they gave me a 5% discount for veterans. On the skylights were installed the installators gave me a remote for the shades that were on the skylights, they said that all of them come with the shades now. They didn't know how to activate the remote thought that if you scan the barcode they'll instruct you. I did that and then called the office found out they weren't supposed to install the shads but they gave them

Scheduling was unreliable and two items of work had to be redone. Specifics: First day, crew showed but materials were not on hand; materials then supposed to be delivered another day, with work starting, but that didn't happen either. Took about 4 days from the original planned start date to finally see both crew and materials ready to start, without timely notice of what was going on. I was told 4 crew members would be working; 2 members was what happened, with only one member on the roof most of the time and the other on the ground. Beer cans in sight in driveway dumpster, plastic bev bottles (about 6) strewn around the yard for 6 day duration of what was listed as a 2 day job. Ladder left up overnight on front of house. Shingles in hedge even after cleanup. Both front and back door blocked with refuse for 3 days. Workers came/went apparently as they wished, including a late afternoon arrival on a Sunday. I requested a review of the work by a supervisor, which was carried out promptly. They found a bent vent pipe/flap (?) needing repair and another in-line vent to add. I also noticed that two of the in-line vents are actually not in line. That correction and all the scheduling inefficiencies contributed to this job taking about a month to resolve. I chose this company because they had good Angi reviews and competitive rates. I don't normally spend time writing reviews but wanted my experience to be out there for others to be aware of, should they do the research. I received a 7% discount for these problems.
