Appliance Renewal Service

It was a very easy job to do. Took the guy about 20 minutes. But it was WAY overpriced. $99 service fee plus $109 per hour for labor, and of course he charged a full hour even though like I said it took 20 minutes to do. Plus the final price was $50 higher than he said it would be when he first looked at the machine. Also, not a big deal to me since I don't work, time was set for between 8:30 and noon. I called at 1pm to see why he hadn't come, then they told me it was scheduled for noon to 5. Overall, he did OK on what he did but I feel like it was way overpriced.

I have a refrigerator in a rental that needed some tlc after a tenant moved out. One of the vegetable drawers was broken, there was a hole torn in the gasket and one of the bars that holds food in the freezer door was broken. I called Appliance Renewal and they made arrangements to order the necessary parts. When they came in, they came out and replaced everything. When they replaced the gasket, the door had to remained closed for a few days and they came back at a later date and checked the gasket to make sure the seal was proper.

This is not the first time I have used Appliance Renewal. They are very professional and respond very quickly. They carry many of the items they need to make repairs on their truck. They are a pleasure to deal with.

Called at 8:30 am regarding a leaking dishwasher. Was given a time of 1:30 pm for a technician - tech arrived at 1:17pm. Doug was very professional and courteous. I watched him open up the bottom access to the dishwasher, he checked for loose connections, ran a partial cycle. My husband had tightened the door frame to the dishwasher a few days earlier (dishwasher had stopped mid-cycle). Doug and I came to the conclusion that my husband had fixed the leak, that the water reside found was prior to husband tightening the door frame. Whew....I'm happy and relieved!

Got held up on a previous call and then the problem turned out to be a bent clip that was preventing the freezer door from closing completely so was a 5 minute repair. Happened to have the knob for the washing machine on the truck which wasn't the reason for the original call but saved me having to use pliers to do laundry anymore. I think the circumstances made it seem spendy, I would definitely call again.

The most important part of the service was the discussion with the company before they came. That discussion included helping me determine the damage, information for the repair vs. buy a new one decision, and an estimate of the cost. I looked at new stoves, contemplated the cost vs. benefit, and fixed my existing stove. Helping me through that decision and doing it well saved me about $1400. The service person was professional, tidy, quick, and helpful.

Dishwasher just quit in the middle of a cycle. Called Appliance Renewal Service in the morning and they scheduled a repairman that afternoon. Doug arrived late in the afternoon after replacing a wash machine motor which took him longer than expected. I was pleased with the fact that he arrived same day. He was professional and knew exactly what to look for - found a bad part and fixed it. Dishwasher was back in service that afternoon.

I got Appliance Renewal's number from Angie's List! I needed them to check out an oven that wasn't operating in a rental house. They made the appointment, showed up on time, and ended up replacing the element in the oven. They were very nice and professional. I highly recommend this company! I will definitely use them again.

Doug came out the same day we called (Thursday) to examine the problem. A buildup of old grease on the fan appeared to have thrown it off-balance, resulting in noisy operation. Doug, a very agreeable and well-groomed guy, suggested he could take it back to the shop and try cleaning it as a cheaper option to replacement. We agreed. Doug showed up by 8:30 a.m. Monday with the clean and quiet fan and motor. Bill was under $75; we expected it to be higher. Replacing the motor and fan would have run well over $200. We are very pleased with the promptness, service, and cost.

It was only a loose door, and he explained how to fix it myself next time. He offered to order new gasket but didn't pressure me to buy. He was a nice guy.

Work was quick, accurate and well done! Excellent company!

THEY ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND THEY WERE ON TIME. THEY DID THE WORK IN A TIMELY MANNER. THEY EVEN CAME OUT TO FIX MY GIRLFRIEND'S DRYER, AND THEY ALSO HELPED TO FIX HER LAWN MOWER AS WELL.

DOUG WAS HELPFUL and HONEST ABOUT HIS WORK. IN THE CASE OF THE REFRIGERATOR DOOR, HE SAID THAT THE COST OF REPAIRING IT WAS TOO HIGH FOR THE VALUE OF THE REFRIGERATOR. THE DISHWASHER DOOR WAS REPAIRED TO OUR SATISFACTION AND WE HAVE HAD NO FURTHER PROBLEMS.

THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS FINE. THEY GOT IT FIXED IN A TIMELY FASHION.

I HAVE DEALT WITH THE APPLIANCE RENEWAL FOR 10 PLUS YEARS AND THEY ALWAYS PROVIDE PROMPT AND FRIENDLY SERVICE. AND THERE PRICES SEEM TO BE VERY REASONABLE.
