Classic Fences & Decks

I called Adrian 3 months ago. He came out to look at the warped boards. He said that he can fix it but he didn't know when. I told him to fix it before winter. It is the last of October. I called 2 times in the last 2 weeks and left a message to call us to let us know if he can fix the porch and he never got back to us. I will update this review when he makes a contact with a reply.

Adrian with Classic Fences & Decks was great to work with. This small business is honest, a great communicator and hard worker. He helped us design the deck, and completed it on time and within budget. He worked well with the county for permits and inspections. The work is extremely high quality, sturdy and visually attractive. We love the wrought iron railing that they complete in-house. I highly recommend this company.

Adrian came on the following Monday after not coming to our scheduled appointment and not informing us that he wasn't coming. I gave him an F rating. Adrian apologized for not communicating and asked for a second try. We made the deal and he built the desk. He was very punctual and professional. His work was superb! A quality well built deck beyond our expectations. Adrian and his crew put a lot of thought and pride into the deck and steps. I am pleased and will recommend him for any work to done.

Adrian was able to come out and give us a bid for a new deck in a timely manner. Not only did he beat the other bids, he was much more experienced than the other contractors. His portfolio book is extensive with amazing workmanship! He told us about Ipe (Brazilian Hardwood) and suggested that we compare composite to Ipe. We chose Ipe since it's much more durable than composite and lasts twice as long! We're so glad he told us about Ipe! When the time came to tear out the previous deck, Classic Fences & Decks was prompt and efficient. They worked around the schedule of a drainage company we hired once the deck was removed, and was so patient. Once the deck was installed and sanded... oh my! BEAUTIFUL WOOD! We can't wait to host BBQ's and show off our new deck! We are so happy we found this company to do our project! They even fixed our broken fence and adjusted our gate that was hard to open and close. Exceptional experience! We will be using Classic Fences & Decks for our future needs!! We highly recommend Adrian and his team!

We had a very challenging site with slope and exposure to a main street in a residential West Linn neighborhood. Classic Fence & Decks worked well with us on design and scheduling. Adrian, the owner, was extremely patient with us as we were unsure exactly what we wanted.

Their work is fantastic. They might be alittle expensive, but you really get what you pay for - our fence is gorgeous, even after 8 years. If boards need to be replaced or the gate needs adjustment, Adrian has come out himself to fix it at no cost. These folks are great and would recommend them to anyone. We had about 50 feet of new fence put in last autumn with a gate and it's just beautiful. And, they leave the job site very neat and clean when they're finished. Can't say enough good things about them!

The job went smoothly and although it was pushed out a couple weeks that was due to the very rainy September weather. Patience was rewarded however as the weather was unseasonably warm the 2 1/2 weeks it took to build the deck.
My husband chose to do the demolition of the existing deck however we misunderstood Mitica (owner) when he gave us the original proposal/estimate of the job. We both thought that the estimate was including his crew doing the demo and if we did the demo then we would SAVE $900. off the price. However when it came time to pay for the balance of the job we were surprised to find out that the estimate was without them doing the demo. I don't believe there was any intent to mislead us ...just miscommunication and our lack of understanding on how he did the bid sheet. This will be a lesson to us in the future.
Either way we are delighted with the quality of the job and the sole person, George, who built it was amazing to watch. He has limited English (from Romania) but his precision, work ethic and quality work was a great experience for us. He is a man that takes great pride in his craftsmanship and we felt so fortunate that Mitica assigned him to our job. While it will be next year before we really get to get out and enjoy the deck (due to the winter weather) we have thoroughly enjoy viewing it from our kitchen/family room. NOTE: we originally thought we would go with a composite deck but after talking with 3 different contractors with bids on both a high end composite -vs- Ipe we found the look and feel of this hardwood was the right choice for us. We also did alot of research online and Mitica had some beautiful pictures to share as well as his experience with working with both products. We just didn't feel or see that composite could give the warmth of Ipe and realize that there will be more maintenance involved over the years but we're prepared for the trade off in visual appeal.

Adrian arrived on time, provided great insight and ideas. Adrian completely rebuilt our deck 5 years ago and did an incredible job. We have recommended him to many friends needing deck, fence, and gate work.

Adrian was recommended to me by a friend whose fence he had replaced the previous year. He responded to my initial call for a new fence and bamboo barrier right away and came over the next day to inspect the area and assess the work. He heard what I needed done and provided a few suggestions for ways it could be improved. He was able to provide a work estimate on the spot. The estimate reflected what I needed very accurately with a clear break down of costs and was for less than I had anticipated (based on a previous quote by another contractor). I asked for a few modifications and held on to the estimate for a couple of months while I lined up a landscaper to do the next phase of the project.
When I called Adrian back he remembered me and said he could start the work right away. Two days later he and his crew showed up and got right to work. They worked long days (including a day where it poured rain) and got the job done in no time. As I suspected they found some rot in the planter boxes along the fence, the bench and retaining wall. I was very satisfied with his speediness, quality of work and how easy it was to work with him and asked for an additional estimate for replacing those pieces as well. I accepted the quote and he brought his crew back again doing excellent work in quick time.
Adrian's catch phrase is 'no problem'. Anytime I asked for a change or suggestion he came right back with a no-hassle solution. He and his crew are very reliable and easy to work with. I am glad to recommend him.
