SPECTRUM BUILDING AND RESTORATION

The water damaged was December 15th of 2013 and the restoration was completed in March of last year. I thought they handled it very well.

My crawlspace flooded and the existing plastic vapor barrier was cut in numerous places (by a different contractor) to allow the water to properly drain. I contacted Spectrum Building and Restoration to remove the old vapor barrier and install a new one. They promptly provided a fair quotation and quickly scheduled the work. When they arrived at my house, the team did a good job of ensuring there was no mess inside my house. They did a great job of removing the old vapor barrier and installing a new one per code and even took pictures of various heating duct issues that required attention. These guys are great and I would definitely recommend using them.

It was an emergency response to a broken pipe and flooding in our house and they were exceptional, very, very professional in every way they took the job and we literally had to do nothing other than give them the keys and they were totally in charge of responding to our emergency, that is a great job. What stood out about them was their overall professionalism, the obvious presence of well understood systems that their staff understood and followed and it was fairly amazing how clever they understood what they needed to do and just did it.

Everyone was easy to work with, we lived in the house during part of the renovation, and everyone was helpful and respectful.

We just finished our inspection of the repairs and we were delighted with the result.  Everything was fixed using the materials we specified and the workmanship was exemplary.  There were even a few instances where Spectrum used better materials and more labor than estimated and they ate this cost themselves in the interest of getting the best result.  Using photos taken when the damage occurred, Spectrum replaced all furniture in the house to its original location.  Every decoration, photo and knick knack was positioned exactly as it was before the damage. I spent the time writing this long letter because I am delighted by Spectrum’s work.  I went from not knowing anyone at Spectrum and knowing nothing about their work, to now where I am a strong advocate.  My advice to anyone who is thinking of managing the work themselves is …let Spectrum do it.  You will save more time and will save money too.  Spectrum’s quality service, experience and relationships with contractors and materials vendors will payoff in the end.
