Had some stone, shale, that I was thinking about laying down on walkways and ask the durability of this rock in this application. The owner of the company stated it was good for this use, he would lay down a good base to insure a level surface that would drain water away from house and make surface solid for walking and we also talked about redoing the chimney,repointing and acid washing.
The material used as the base contained larger stones, not sand, so many pieces were unstable, surfaced was not leveled so I now get large puddles on surface, the stone used is not durable and is now falling apart everywhere, the chimney was poorly done and never acid washed as agreed and the workers left all their garbage for me to clean up.
