HOME FRIDAYS

we have used Home Fridays for years and they have been great UNTIL ownership change in April. Now owned by a NY resident and managed by his brother Ben Chambers, Home Friday's local attention to the customer has plummeted and hidden costs increased exponentially. He charged a 35% increase in housecleaning from one cleaning to the next (from $250 to $350 for a 2000 sq ft, no pets, no kids) without pre-warning. He sent the bill the day the cleaners were to clean again in preparation for guests coming for the weekend. When I complained about the sudden increase in cost, he elected to cancel our contract outright without doing the cleaning. Fortunately the house was presentable without the additional cleaning, no thanks to Home Fridays. The work ethics of this new owner and management are definitely no longer local.

The service was incredible.  We had things happen to our house that could have been really stressful as absentee owners. Our furnace went out during a very cold Christmas week, and we had a family renting the home. Home Fridays couldn't get hold of us immediately, so they purchased several mini electric heaters and took them over, plus called around to see what other accommodations were available for the family.  This was on a Saturday night. The renters were so pleased by the service (and cozy with the heaters and gas fireplaces) that they not only opted to stay, but rebooked for the following Christmas. 

Another time, Home Fridays discovered a water pipe leaking behind a wall (they noticed a wet spot on the wall - detail oriented!).  The damage behind the wall was extensive because it was a slow leak that had been happening for years.  The wall had to be ripped apart and rebuilt, wainscoting replaced, and the office repainted.  Home Fridays took ownership of the whole project and we didn't even think about it from then forward.  We got cost estimates from vendors,  regular pictures of the work progress, and never had to lift a finger.  It was such a relief not to be managing this from afar. 

We live here in Bend now, and I always call Home Fridays for referrals when we have things we need done around the house. Home Fridays has an extensive vendor network and has hooked us up with the best people to paint rooms inside, maintain the spa, etc.

We have kept a backup key with Home Fridays, even though we live here now. We had a crisis with our pet sitter when we were in Mexico a couple years ago, and I discovered the cats had not been fed in 3 days.   I called Home Fridays from Mexico in a panic on a very erratic cell connection.  They took charge immediately and got our pet care going again.  One of our cats now needs twice daily medication, and I think I would be afraid to leave town again without knowing I had a backup with Home Fridays. 

Recently, I accidentally locked myself out of the house when taking out the garbage in 4 degree weather.  Home Fridays to the rescue again!  I wasn't even late to work!

Home Fridays has a customer service ethic akin to the legendary Nordstrom's customer service.  That is so rare these days.  They are dependable, reliable, professional, and extremely detail-oriented.  I would trust them to take care of absolutely anything. When Home Fridays is on the job, you can let go of all worries and know that things will be taken care of.  

The last time she came out was to install our internet and cable TV. She helped connect me to people who could make that happen. There was no additional cost for it outside of her monthly fee. The reason I wanted to compliment her is because as a care taker she takes care of our home when we are not there. In the past she has found beginnings of water leaks and has found them before they became big problems. She checks the house once a week minimum. I found her to be very professional and very enthusiatic about what she does. She is reachable 24/7, just an all around great person.
