We decided to move to Bend in May of this year. We put our house on the market in upstate New York in early September and, through Angie's List recommendation, Michele Anderson and Jacquie Sebulsky of Duke Warner Realty became our agents here in Bend. Our home in NY sold with the first person who walked through it and that kicked everything into high gear. We had been looking at real estate in Bend online for several months and knew the neighborhood we wanted to be in, the style of house (ranch), the walkability, and the price we were willing to pay. Through Michele and Jacquie's efforts we were able to find a house that met our needs both now and for the future. We were clear that we were not going to take the time to come out to Bend and would be relying on them to help us to 'see' the potential, the problematical, and the present. We saw photos, videos - both inside and outside. We had phone conversations, We compared it to other houses in the area. Michele recommended an inspector, whose report has been our blueprint for needed improvements, as well as assurance that this was a house that was worth the effort. Contract negotiations were managed through Michele and Jacquie. They represented us at the closing and have been at our right hand as needed to offer referrals to services and professionals as we separated from one location and are finding our way in Bend.
