For the first two years, the work was ok... never spectacular, but not terrible. They had frequent turnover, so I was patient as new people came through the revolving door. This is not a "build a relationship with your cleaner" type company... Their cleaners would often complain to you about their management, or would sometimes call you after they leave the company, and ask if they could clean your home directly. It was awkward at times, but I tolerated it for ease of use, and to ensure that I was doing business with a reputable, insured company. About a year or so ago, things started going downhill. They would constantly miss cleans and never provide notice (before or after the missed clean). Sometimes they would show up on their own days/hours unannounced. More than once, they would email me weeks or months later and debit my credit card for cleans they say occurred, but have no way of proving. See example below: "On Feb 28, 2017, at 2:12 PM, The Polished Home wrote: Hello and happy Tuesday to you. J I wanted to let you know that we took some time to clean up our accounts and I ran your credit card for 2 cleans. 11/7/16 and 11/18/17 totaling $132.00." I was patient as we worked through these "kinks" and simply asked they try to improve them moving forward... but corresponding with them was painful; their main scheduler, Cassie, doesn't return phone calls and rarely responds via email. After more months of missed expectations (no-shows, damage to furniture, etc), I began to think that my concerns were not reaching the right stakeholder, so I set out to get in contact with someone other than Cassie (presumably her manager). It took me over 20 phone calls and false promises of callbacks to finally reach Michael (the presumed owner of the business). He was surprisingly cordial, apologetic and promised to come back to me with some thoughts on how to address the issues... however, I never heard from him again (that was almost 3 weeks ago). During our one phone call, he refused to provide any contact info other than their main office line and email (both of which they never answer). They claim that all of their cleaners are licensed and bonded, but that doesn't do any good if you can't locate their license number, or get ahold of anyone on the phone to file a claim. So... if I am unable to reach them soon, I will be forced to file a small claims court against them to repair the damages to the furniture, and to potentially dispute the charges they are debiting from my card without proof of work being performed. NOTE, it appears Michael uses multiple business names... which I suspect is to provide him some protection from multiple negative reviews piling up. NW Clean Source, The Polished Home, Northwest Ecological, Clean-A-Maniacs, NewPhase Consulting, JMS INVESTMENT GROUP etc. I find it borderline comical that Michael appears to have a background in finance and investment banking, but can't consistently figure out how to invoice or reconcile his companies records reliably. Michael Haslebacher (affiliated with each of these organizations) is a scam artist as far as I'm concerned, and should be avoided. FINAL NOTE: I would be happy to modify this review to a more neutral stance if Michael returns my call and makes-whole on these outstanding issues.

Initially, the service was very good and always as scheduled. I used them to do a move out clean in May 2016, and they did an excellent job. Over time, there were numerous cancellations, and often with little notice. Also, the service was less than acceptable in some cases. Floors not swept well or mopped, and generally not a good cleaning. I cancelled services in late 2016 and sought another provider.

I've used them for a couple of years and their quality is declining. This last cleaning I was home for. I booked them for 4 hours but they only worked 2 hours and did a substandard job. I wondered if every time I've ordered a 4 hour clean when I wasn't present if they were really just getting it done as fast as they could but billed me for the full 4 hours. There have problems with responsiveness and one time they just didn't show up. When I called the owner he never apologized, which I was put off by.

It was not bad. They did not call me back. I asked a lady to have her manager call me back, but the never called me back.

Not well. This is the second time I have used this company, and for the second time there was a problem with the cleaners arriving as scheduled and no notice that there was a problem. When the cleaners finally arrived 1 hour late, they told me they had been scheduled three hours earlier than I originally scheduled. When I contacted the office, they apologized, and offered an excuse that one of the office employees was sick. However, this happened the first time I used the service, with a similar excuse. Three cleaners arrived, and they spent about 50 minutes cleaning, which added up to to 1 hour and 30 minutes less than paid for. I wouldn't have minded the shorter time, but after they left, I discovered areas not thoroughly cleaned. I had requested that they clean the refrigerator inside and out, and they did not clean it inside. The bathroom floor was cleaned, but areas along the walls where it met the floor were not cleaned. In general, it was a spotty job.

It was very nice. They did a good job. I got a deal on Angie's List and it was a good deal. I waited a little while to have them out.

I had used The Polished Home for about a year. I have had several times where they had to cancel due to "staffing issues", so they are not super reliable. My service was good in the beginning, but over the past few months, the cleanings have been uneven. They are not super detail oriented. I just became disappointed in the overall service, the frequent cancellations (almost happening every month) and inability to count on reliable service. They are more affordable than other services, but you don't get reliable or consistent service. I am canceling my service and moving to a new provider.

After an initial foul-up with scheduling, the actual cleaning went well. After having my first appointment confirmed, the cleaners did not show up as scheduled, and I received no notice. Apparently the company had an unusual number of worker absences that day, so they were scrambling to reschedule. However, they never contacted me--I had to call them to find out what had happened and to reschedule. When they actually did show up, the two cleaners were friendly and efficient, and did a good job. They gave me a little extra time to compensate me for the earlier inconvenience. I would use this company again.

2 very pleasant young ladies arrived on time with all their cleaning supplies.  The kitchen counters, stove, etc. were cleaned well.  The floor was mopped, but apparently not swept prior.  Same with the bathroom floors.  The bathtub and shower were cleaned but the tiles around the tub were not touched.  The cupboards in both bathrooms and kitchen were not even wiped down.  I was sadly disappointed.

This team was fabulous, efficient, friendly and easy to have in my home.  I had very specific tasks I needed done like high dusting and wiping down ceiling fan blades, cleaning ceiling fan vents and more.  They did everything I asked and more.
