She was great! Took lots of pictures and prepared a thorough report. Seemed optimistic but realistic about the problems that come with a 120 year old home. 

Uli Sommers has done three separate home inspections for us since we've been in the market for a new home. Why three? Because Uli found significant structural deficiencies in the first two homes.
While I like to think I understand building construction (I was certified by the State of Oregon as a fire inspector in my job as a firefighter), Uli identified substantial problems -issues that I had not seen during my own initial viewing of the property- in the first two homes that led to us not purchasing either. On the third home, Uli's inspection identified what I would call normal deficiencies that the sellers then agreed to repair.
My wife and I would not buy a house that Uli had not inspected first. Her attention to detail is exemplary. Her documentation -that includes pictures with identifying arrows of the deficiency- makes her report not only easy for the buyer to understand but also helps the seller in understanding exactly what and where the problem with the house is. In addition, she is prompt, efficient and professional.
Uli's good work has saved us thousands of dollars in what would have been unexpected repairs to homes that held dark secrets.

Uli was incredible! She had flexible hours so that we could get her in on a short notice general inspection. She was very responsive, worked with us, answered all our crazy up front questions (we are first time home buyers of a house built in 1907) and got us in. She was right on time, brought all needed tools for the job, and got into all the corners of the house. She took great, high quality pictures, went over all the problem areas and wrote up an incredibly detailed report.
I will be using her for any future inspections and will be referring to all of our friends and family. She was the best!

I was super impressed that she was able to find the things and then make a photographic log of all she found. She E-mailed the report to me. 30+ pages complete with pictures and full discriptions.
What impressed me the most was that she was able and very willing to talk to me about anything I had questions on.I called her several times and each time she was very helpful and easy to talk to. She put things in terms I could understand and relate too. I find that rare in this day and age!
From start to finish I was very impressed with the inspection. I feel that it was well worth the money spent. I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone who is looking for
a house inspection.

She was able to schedule the inspection with just a few days notice. She was very accommodating. She had already started perimeter inspections when I got there. Her inspection was very thorough and nothing was left unchecked. She is very professional, courteous and knowledgeable. She answered all my client's questions and concerns and provided a notepad and tape measures for her to use. Her report is detailed with lots of pictures and is easy to read and understand.
I am a realtor and have not been impressed with veteran inspectors who cut corners and skip going into tight spaces and hard to reach areas, but she is just the opposite. She spent ample time on the inspection and my client was completely satisfied with her job. Free radon gas testing was a very nice bonus for my client! Her fee was very reasonable.
