SCOTT DIRECTOR'S

We had owned our previous sofa since 1993 and bought it from a local family owned company Ripley's (now out of business). I like shopping local and Scott Director's store is in my neighborhood and I've been driving by it for years. The sofas are manufactured in North (or South) Carolina (I forget which) and I spent time with Carol Director picking fabrics taking into consideration what else I had going on in the living room and she was great and very artistic. Scott was very good about explaining the features of the sofa and I got a very good price at the time because there was a sale going on. We got it delivered very close to New Year's and the good news it's great but the bad news is our cats Love It. It was all and more than I anticipated and it's my first experience with custom furniture so you can't be in a hurry (I wasn't) because it took almost 2 months but a wonderful present to myself and our family.

This is our third major purchase over the past 10 years- Love the product and the service!

EVerything went quite well; wife had been looking for a sectional that was a certian size, and a certain fit for our body types; Scott and his wife had a sectional that fit our requirements; we looked at it several times, did the measurements, found that it would fit in our family room, and we purchased it and had it delivered; everything went very smoothly

Though we love the chair, after about 6 months, we noticed some sagging in the upholstered seat cushion and in the back. We called Scott Director and reported the problem. He had us e-mail him photos, which he sent to the manufacturer in North Carolina. After about 10 days, he sent an upholsterer to our home with a new insert for the seat cushion. He also took off the back of the chair and added filling to remedy the problems. Though we were very concerned about the problem at first, we were extremely pleased with the remedy. Our chair is better than new now. We liked the upholsterer (Tand T Upholstery) so well that we asked him to do another job for us. We're glad we didn't buy our chair from a big box store where we might not have had the personal attention to getting the problem fixed. Also, we saw the same chair for sale at Kitchen Kaboodle. Their original price was $600 more than we paid, and the sale price was $100 more. So we are satisfied that we got a fair price.
