PRECISION HOMES & REMODELING

We had a great experience with Ross and all his staff.  We were impressed by the ease of communicating with Ross.  We've worked with contractors in the past who would not respond for days, but with Precision our calls or e-mails were routinely answered the same day.  The flexibility of working on the design, choosing materials, and adapting the plan as we went was great.  We'd have a general sense of what we wanted and Ross was able to help guide specific choices.  The contract and payment system was well-organized and professional.  They adhered to the pricing structure we originally agreed upon, even though there were changes as we went.  After finishing the demo part of the project, we saw the open ceiling in the kitchen extension as an opportunity - Ross was able to adapt plans quickly to include a vaulted ceiling and a skylight. 

The quality of the work was outstanding.  The kitchen has become a real show-stopper for guests.  The cabinetry is amazing.  They custom built all cabinets - Ross had suggested hickory which is absolutely gorgeous.  They paid attention to details we would not have thought of ourselves and even (of their own accord) spent an extra day redoing some of the cabinet doors because the grain pattern did not match exactly across drawers.  At the end of the project, Ross was even nice enough to custom build a kitchen table out of the same hickory used for the cabinets and charged us a third of what we would have paid in a furniture store. 

Overall, this was a major project that turned out to be a very positive experience for us.  We can't recommend them highly enough. 

Ross and his crew were great. We were delighted with the quality of the work and the quality of the workmen who were involved with our project. Ross was extremely responsive to our ideas, needs, and scheduling conflicts. He assessed quickly and accurately what sort of a project we were interested in and started bringing good ideas to the design and implementation of the project. He understood the limitations of our budget and worked within that. He listened to us throughout the design process and the final project reflects what we asked for.
We also really appreciated the construction process with Precision. Ross was up front with us about costs. There were no "hidden" costs in this project. He came in on target for the expenses and the time required. With an older home, it was expected that we might find some interesting things when we pulled out the drywall and that was the case. Ross helped us understand what needed to be done and came up with creative, economical, and attractive solutions to bring our house into conformity with building codes. We were challenged by the unexpected delay in the creation of some custom windows, but he was able to expedite the process when they finally arrived and we got the whole project done in a relatively timely way. It was a large project and we knew it would take some time, but it did not take more time than it had to take.
I also want to commend Ross for taking care of his people. That shows in that he brought a really decent crew of workers to my home. They were good guys who were considerate of my house and family. I was especially grateful for the patient competence of Rudy, Sergey the electrician, and Kevin and Abel the painters

Single women homeowners beware!  I'll never trust Angie's List again. I thought I did my homework on references and ratings but it's personal references only from here on out for me!

While they may seem responsive and communicate with you at first, they really don't listen to you on the details and they think you have a defective girl-brain if you suggest that there are quality issues with their work.  There is zero proactive communication and only when prompted will you get an email or txt response while they are sitting in the office.  The GC only came to my home maybe once per week even after I expressed that there are workmanship problems, unprofessionalism of the onsite crew, and security concerns.  They apologized and promised things would be handled differently going forward but nothing changed.

I had to request that  the crew and subs clean up after themselves, request that large piles of construction debris be removed from my property on a regular basis, request that food waste not be dropped in my yard where my dogs roam (including chicken bones!), and request that hazardous materials (like razor blades) not be dropped in my gardens after several instances of all of these scenarios during the 4-month project.  Oh and there was no attempts to protect my personal belongings as they worked (like plastic sheeting on furniture or below where they were cutting into drywall or ceilings).
The project was exhausting to live through and when I had the gall to question some extra charges on my final invoice and why these items were either higher than quoted or not included in the original project plan, they refused to speak to me despite several attempts to communicate and just threatened via email to put a lien on my property if I didn't pay up.
On top of all these issues, the finish work is not holding up like it should.  I have hardwood floors that were not sealed properly, an HVAC duct that doesn't have air flowing in the new addition, a dryer vent that was never moved to the outside wall, electrical issues, multiple plumbing issues (fixtures not installed right, test plugs not removed resulting in overflows), door hardware not installed right, the refinished claw foot tub porcelain is streaked near the drain -- and this is just within weeks of the "completion" of the project!

I could go on and on about the unprofessional experience I had with this contractor since this is just the tip of the iceberg and I'm trying to keep it classy here.  I ended up filing an official complaint with the Oregon CCB which was accepted, mediated and settled recently, but I'm on the hook for getting all of the above fixes (and more) done when I thought by hiring a contractor, I could sit back and enjoy my remodeled home.  Needless to say, these guys do NOT deserve an "A rating" in my book.

Brilliant work and great people all around.  This is the 2nd project we've done with Ron and Ross, and the experience was great from start to finish.  They gave us a great design concept, worked with us on the finishes, and the end result was perfect.  Also, can't say enough about the on-site manager, Pepe and his crew.  They were so friendly and courteous and did their best to take care of our new home.  I can't wait to do our next remodel with Precision.

Their employees are very professional and we were very thankful for Santos especially. We are very happy and recommend Precision Homes and Remodeling.

Extremely well!! So happy with Precision. Ross and Ron are great to work with - they listened to everything we wanted and added their expertise to it, which made for a beautiful result.
The schedule they presented fell out as they had planned ... no surprises!!! They hire experienced people only for their business and all were professional, respectful - and very nice.

Ron and Ross povided an estimate and drawings of the remodel. They started right on time. The plumbing and electrical contracters came right on cue and did an excellent job.Our new kitchen is the showplace of our home!

We had the idea to remodel our home but did not have a concrete plan in mind for how to do it. Precision brought in a designer and we discussed our ides with her (Intuitive Design, Marci). Within a day or so we had a preliminary drawing and with a few tweaks, the plan was finalized. The project moved along quite smoothly with not many down days. We wanted to live in the home while they were working and they accommodated us. We have two young girls living here and the workman were very considerate about things like answering their questions and watching their language (you know some workmen have quite the vocabulary). The end result is fabulous and every day we sit in our new spaces and feel happy all over again.

They are just fabulous. I would recommend them to everyone. It came out to be better than we had imagined. They were tremendous; they had designers that they worked with and they knew all the contractors that was recommended to us. The initial garage was converted into a living space and with the quality of work and design done buy them you cannot tell at all that it used to be a garage, it just looks like a brand new house now. It was easy and was a tremendous delight to work with them. We had 3 adults and 2 children squeezed into one small room during the remodeling and the workers coming and going all the time and yet we never felt like we were being intruded upon. We never felt annoyed. If you had asked them the slightest of doubts they would stop the work and explain to us in detail about what was going on. We always had schedules about the daily work that needed to be completed and they were on time. There was a time when I thought the work did not match the plan and we sent a worried email and within 10 minutes I got a call from them saying that they were coming down for an inspection. They came down immediately, stopped the work and got their workers back on track as per the plan. They were really great in dealing with my kids and there was no fowl language used by the workers, which we think is very commendable. The whole experience was great. We started the project the middle of July and finished it by the end of February. We are thrilled with the results; we are all still surprised with the way our house looks. We were so impressed that we have recommended them to lot of people I know and they already have started projects with them.
