Very well. After inspecting the pipes and trap below the sink for clogs, the plumber determined the clog was in the drainage line beyond the wall. He snaked out the clog in minutes.

This is the largest job David has down for me, but I have been a regular customer for years and have found him just as responsive and helpful on small plumbing issues as he was with this big problem. Basically, I have an older home that is positioned lower than the street and I get a lot of water running down my driveway into a drain too small to handle large amounts of water when it really pours. This problem has been exacerbated by a long series of drain pipes in my back yard that were porous (conceived of as "french drains" ) always clogging up and also were too narrow to allow quick drainage--these were remnants of a previous "solution" by another drain "expert" that did little to help the situation. At the same time, both my front and back downspouts let water run off right next to the foundation, contributing to my crawl space flooding every winter.
David came over and made some good suggestions for enlarging and rerouting pipes. What I really like about working with him is that he always talks things through and incorporates my concerns/ideas/input into his solution. He ended up digging two straight lines at each edge of my back yard, installing new larger and more direct drain pipes with "bubblers" on the ends. These now drain much more freely and move the water down faster and far away from my house. He also found where my front gutters were emptying and rerouted into another bubbler to the side of my front yard. Installing new pipes required excavation, and the guys he had do the work did a very neat job of digging--even put my lawn back into place after the pipes were hooked up. David oversaw all the actual pipe work himself. After going through a whole winter and seeing the difference this has made, I've been very satisfied with the overall results.
Over the years, David has been my "go-to" plumber and does inside work (such as installing a new garbage disposal) as well as outside drain work. He is very conscientious about apps, letting me know if he will be late or has to reschedule, and I've always felt his pricing to be more than reasonable. He also has "rotoroutered" my drains, used cameras to visualize difficulties, and has cheerfully come to the rescue when I've had pipes break several times in the winter and has (horrors!) no problem delving into the crawl space under my house (very muddy and claustrophobic!). This spring he completed another job to stave off future pipe freezings by installing new more resilient pipe and a shut-off valve under my house to use each fall since insulating the pipe to my outside faucet hasn't worked--this was approx $280 for two service trips, parts and labor, which I thought was very appropriate.
In short, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Northwest Plumbing and Drain as an all-around service provider with superior expertise and fair pricing.

He arrived the afternoon of the morning I called and on time (and I appreciated his punctuality)The main downside of his service was that I felt like he was heavily trying to upsell me the whole time, giving me a whole long spiel about getting camera footage of the drain. Otherwise he was pleasant enough, I just felt uncomfortable with the pressure to get services I didn't need or want.

David from Northwest Drains was excellent. I called and left a message and received his call back 10 minutes later. He was very professional and courteous and gave me an approx. quote. He said he would arrive in 35 minutes and kept his word. Service was fast and he fixed the toilet in 5 minutes. I also appreciated that he took care to respect my home. He explained the issue and gave me recommendations on getting a different toilet. Last but not least, I was charged what he quoted me. Based on this experience, I am going to use this company for the install of a new toilet since I now trust the quality of work. You won't be disappointed with the service!

David arrived promtly, listened to the description of the problem, offered a plan, and went to work immediately. In short order, the problem was solved. I am very pleased with the service.

The service and warranty for the price is a great value. The job was not easy and got a bit messy because the pipe was badly clogged, but David cleaned everything, and put everything back together in perfect working order. I was completely satisfied.

We had used NW Drain previously to fix several leaks in our basement, and when we decided to overhaul the old plumbing, we did not hesitate to call David. He is always easy to get a hold of, is extremely polite, cleans up after himself, and does GREAT work! The job was a big one and he and his crew worked long hours to get the job done. We were very pleased with the update and all of his work!

In the kitchen, the drain was cable and jet cleaned. In the past I had another drain cleaning company come out for this problem, but they just went up on the roof to the vent and cabled from there (the easy way) and it was soon clogged again. Northwest Drain Service went under the sink, removed the pipe and cleaned from the source location; now after several months it is still draining properly! Outside, an old storm drain pipe was broken because of age, tree roots and ground settling. They worked with us to recommend best solution for what we could afford at the time. They had to dig from the street to the house and replace the old drain pipe. Also, we had the other storm drain pipes cleaned. Professional, prompt and good communication. Very happy with the services provided.

My elderly mother called me in a panic because her toilet was overflowing. I called Northwest Drain and got Mark. When I explained the situation he was very kind and said he could be at my mother's house within an hour. He came right out, got the toilet working and showed my mother how to turn off the water to the toilet if it got clogged again. She and I were very grateful for the quick help!

It went very well, the service was excellent and I would call them again.

Mark called giving his arrival time, and he was early. Introduced himself. I explained the problem. He then told me what he was going to do and why. He explained everything and was showing me the pictures and what the problem was, how to fix it and an estimate to do the repairs. Explained everything in writing also. A job well done. I was pleased with there flexibility also. I was out of town and became ill and I had to call and cancel because I could not get back in time for the appointment. When I did call they were very responsive which I appreciated. He also said they would pull the city records to see just where the sewer line ran because it may be able to be repaired when the driveway is redone.

I tried another company first which didn't do the job right, then Called Northwest Drains. The owner knew exactly what I needed when we talked on the phone: I asked for hydro-jetting, and he said I'd need blades as well to cut through the roots, etc., and yes, they had just the thing. The serviceman, Micah, was prompt, very polite and helpful, and did a great job getting through some nasty debris. I was quoted $225 over the phone for the job...and that's what I was charged.

It was a great experience overall, although the price seemed a bit high. Customer service over the phone was excellent. The appointment was made for the same day I called. The service person who came out to fix the drain was courteous, clean, and efficient. The job was done in 15 minutes.

This was an unpleasant event, but David did a great job and tried everything he could to help us out. We chose to do the digging ourselves. The plumbing was very old and who knows what was done prior, so we can't fault him for the failure. We highly recommend him to anyone.

Bill headed the team doing the work. He was punctual, very polite, knew exactly what needed to be done and how to do it. I was extremely pleased with his bid which was approximately $1,000 to $2,000 less than the bid I got from another company and no additional or hidden costs appeared.

I called Northwest Drain Service out of the DEX pages. They were the second call I made. The first company would not provide any cost information so I told them I would have to call someone else. David, the owner, answered the phone when I called and gave me a quote over the phone then showed up promptly and fixed the problem, leaving a tidy work area and even re-installing the drain plug mechanism. I would not hesitate used their service in the future.

The technician was very prompt and professional. He explained the process very completely, then did the work efficiently and quickly. He cleaned up thoroughly and the price was much better than other places I checked. Highly recommend this company.
