MORGAN'S FINE FINISHES

We have not had the cabinets painted yet as there is a 2 to 3 wait.

 I came across two very large old furniture style James Lansing speaker systems from the 1970s.  Each is the size of a cadenza, being 26" tall x 40" wide x 20" deep.  They are gorgeous traditional style golden oak.  Problem was one of them had at some time served as a stand for leaky potted plants (sooo...70s) and the top was covered in black water circles and the finish itself was raised in many places.  There were also lots of scuffs and nicks on both cabinets.  Morgan's totally stripped the top on one.  They then color matched it to the original and stained it.  They then filled and touched all the other boo boos on both cabinets and finally satin clear coated both cabinets so they would have the same "sheen".  The color matching and other work was so good I could not tell which cabinet was which even when we had them out in the daylight loading them up to take home.  All the staff people I interacted with were very friendly and professional and the work was done right on schedule at a very fair price.

This is the second time I have had this company do work for me.  The first time was to finish new base board material that I provided them.  We had just bought our current home and need to do a lot of updating including repainting all the walls.  Much of the base boards needed refinishing.  I decided it was easier to pull up all the base boards and replace after painting.  The company have been great at matching the color to existing wood work.  
These folks do quick turn around from pickup, fininshing, and delivery. 

We had an estimate over the phone. Then someone came out and talked to us about the process and what they would do. Once we were ready they  took the door to their shop and put on however many coats it needed. We needed to wait until it dried before they put it back on but we were in no great hurry. They picked up a temporary door for us so we had that for the week or so it took.  They also painted the door jam. 

Our 20yr old house was ready for a remodel. Had cabinet maker make new doors and drawer fronts. They recommended Morgans to do a good job matching finish of new wood with old cabinet boxes. Morgan's came out to look at our existing cabinets and reported them being in excellent shape. Gave us the option of just finishing new doors to match, else updating with a refinish and glazing of cabinet boxes as well. Since the color of the red oak cabinets was dated we went for the refinishing and glazing, which we are very happy with. Also needed to finish a new french door that replaced original which had rotted. Carefully mixed up custom stain color to perfectly match existing woodwork, and lacquered. The finish on original fir window liners had badly deteriorated or totally failed where hit by sun. Morgan removed old finish, sanded, carefully mixed up custom stain color to perfectly match existing woodwork, and lacquered. They look like new. Areas were carefully prepped to contain sprays and dust, and thoroughly cleaned after work done. All work was done on days forecasted. All phone calls returned quickly. Worker was very friendly, professional, and answered all questions. Work quality was excellent. Great job all around. Can't really compare cost as we didn't get other bids.

We were very pleased with the estimate we received from Brett during our initial call. We went to their workshop and met some of the crafts people and looked at examples of their work in progress. From the moment we dropped off the material to the time they delivered we were kept up to date by Chris the front office person on the progress and were absolutely thrilled with the finished product. Our doors look so beautiful beyond our expecations. We will use them again and would reccomend them to anyone looking for top notch finishing of wood products.
