There is a reason for the B overall rating. We had been trying not to give him a review so far. He does a fine job, he fixed eveyrthing, but then we chit-chat about children, and I shared my information about good sources on how to find a college and all that. All of the time we chit-chat he included on the billing time. He had to do it twice, he came back, we turned off the water and had to wait for the carpet and floor to dry out for him to come back out again. So, we waited 5-6 weeks and the 2nd time hae came back the job was only about an hour and we chit-chatted for another 45 minutes. I thought I was being nice on telling him where to get financial aid for children, and he listetned very carefully and he took notes about the information. When we got the bill, there was an extras 45 minutes charge for the chit-chat, which benefits him,. and not me. He has called us twice for refrence, and we just didn't answer the call because if we provide reference, we have to be honest and tell people that he did includ the chatting time and that would hurt him. This is why we have not given a review yet. I don't want to hurt him, but I want to be fair to other customers if he starts charging them for chit-chat time. I would not use again. This is not professional when you charge for chit-chat time. He did the work, and he did it in a reasonable time. He showed up and gave follow-up calls a few weeks later. It was just a bad experience on the bill, and he said he was giving us a good deal on the rate, and he charged extra.

As many plumbing jobs go you never know what needs to be done til you get it all apart, as problems came up Bill notified me and to took to the task and handled all of the extra work.

Easy peasy, done quick.

Simple replacement. Needed 50G+ high recovery unit for jet tub and space wasn't a problem so 75G turned out to best solution (replaced 65G until; high recovery). Good price in new Bradford- White 75G model and installation was smooth.

Both are working well.

I left a message on their phone the day I had a non-critical problem. They returned my call later and set up an appointment for the next morning. Sooner than any other plumber could make it! Bill from MD Plumbing called ahead the next morning to say he would be running a bit a late because he had to pick up supplies. Then showed up at nearly the expected time! He was friendly and professional, a nice mixture. He got right to work. Service was prompt, efficient, and effective. With guests arriving this evening I sure needed that!

It went fine. They had to come back because there was an additional leak spotted.

Able to get it done within a couple of days when I called.

I might have used them. They were good. I had to get them out immediately. I would use them in the future.

Great, it was a holiday weekend and we had NO water!

They were horrible. The owner and one worker showed up. After a while, they decided it was too big or they didn't want the job. They kind of left me hanging. They basically recommended me, "Go get another estimate, go call someone else," because basically there was only one or two workers in their company. It was too big for them and they didn't want to do the job. The owner kept going, "You need to get some more estimates and you should call someone else." I said, "Do you want to come back tomorrow?" I was very upset with them. He was a nice guy at first, but when he came out and started digging and realized how difficult the job was, they kind of threw in their towel and said, "We don't want to do this." His laborer told me, "You're looking at 66% of the company, me and Mark, right here." They kept me hanging. I had water leaking into the street everyday from this pipe constantly for weeks and he told me, "Go get an estimate. We can't come out here for another week or so. I don't know what to do," and this and that. They didn't want the job because it was labor intensive of digging and getting out and finding the pipe. I had called the pipe locator out here, afterwards and they found it and he kind of just left me. I called Excellence Plumbing that day. They had an opening and came out the next day. The owner came out and dug and dug and fixed it awfully cheap, very cheap. MD really left me hanging. They didn't want the job and they didn't want to get dirty. They wanted some professional job, they just didn't want to deal with it. They charged me $105, just for the hour of labor that his laborer started to dig. Then he saw all the roots and goes, "Oh my God." We all knew the leak was behind the water meter because I had this tree that kept growing roots. Once they dug down there and looked at it, they stepped back and said, "This is too much."  I paid them $105 plus something else. They wanted an easy job. They didn't want to get dirty and help me. Once they got into it, they kind of backed away and said, "This is too much, this is going to require a lot of digging the roots. I don't know what you're going to do," and this and that. They kind of shook their head. He didn't want to deal with it. He only had one laborer and him in the company and he didn't want to do the job.

It was excellent.  They got the job done fast.  I had no complaints.  They did well.  The price seemed reasonable. 

Mark went above and beyond to hold to our appointment, quickly triage the problem and work to find replacement parts. He helped go pick out faucet options, texting me photos and prices, then doing a great installation for a very reasonable cost. Will definetly use Mark again for future plumbing needs.

Mark replied immediately to my request for service and confirmed the appointment.  He called prior to the apointment as a courtesy, and showed up right on time.  He then surveyed the job, and communicated his plan.  He works very fast, with good efficiency.  Once completed, he left the area very tidy.  He approaches his work professionaly, and is easy to talk to.  We plan to use him for our future plumbing needs.

Excellent.  When he saw the job was larger than he thought, he brought in a second plumber to work with him so they could finish before my kids got home from school.  Also, he was flexible from the beginning as my project changed a couple of times between the original bid and the actual job.  Each time, he responded by email promptly with a new bid/price.  He also either answered his phone or called me back when I needed to talk with him.  He is a super nice guy and I needed his can-do attitude with my old house!  He did an excellent job and even offered to let me call him if I needed help completing my dishwasher set up, as my other workers made it so he couldn't finish it when he was here.

Installation was quick and the dishwasher works great.

We asked him about a similar problem with our new bathtub faucet, and he checked it out.  Told us it was missing a part, got my our computer and looked it up for us, and told us  to call the mfg.(Delta) and ask for a replacement part.  Followed his directions, and (just like he told us)  Delta is shipping the part to us, free of charge!
Not only will he get the job of putting the part in the bathroom faucet, but we will get a bid from him on a whole house re-piping job!
After looking at the condition of our pipes, it is way past due!
Best plumber we have used here in Hillsboro, period.

Was very happy with his work, I'm already considering him for additional work.

Originally called Mark to repair leaking shower valve in master bath.  When he arrived, I asked if he could also look into half bath where toilet was leaking from the base.  He said he would start with toilet first since it could cause warping of hardwoods, and get to the shower if he had time.  He had only scheduled enough time for shower and would have to leave for another job to repair burst pipes (first major freeze and most all plumbers were busy fixing several burst pipes!).  Mark fixed the toilet then started on shower.  He removed the broken part which also had chunks of debris in it, then flushed the pipes.  The shutoff valve outside was frozen shut, so that took additional time.  He had to leave to attend to other job, but promised to get shower part and return later that night.  After a long day, Mark returned as promised around 7pm and repaired shower.  Has been a month and no further issues!!  I would definitely call MD Plumbing again for further issues!
