MAC'S CUSTOM TRACTOR WORK

This is the second time John has plowed this patch of land so it wasn't as involved as last year.  He and his trusty John Deere efficiently and thoroughly plowed the area and leveled it out so that, with minimal work on my part, it was ready for grass seed.

He did a great job and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to others.

I found Mac's Custom Tractor Work a few months ago on Angie's List when we started planning our garden for the summer.  Its our second summer in our house and had thought we should till while the ground was wet but John pointed out the weight of his tractor would tear up the grass we wanted to keep.  
Weekly he's been checking in if the weather had been dry for a few days and to see if we were ready (we had to remove a large rhodie for him to get the tractor through to the back of our yard) and today was finally the day!
He did such a great job!  We've got tall irrigation pipes along our back fence and he weaved the tractor in and out of them, getting as close to the fenceline as possible.  He went over and over the area which is about 100ft long and 20ft wide and you'd never know it was the toughest soil before!
Can't wait to get started on our raised beds out there now that the grass is gone!

I have a fairly large, segmented, garden area which my partner and I were unable to plant due to illness, and it was growing magnificent tall weeds all over it. I decided to put in white clover to crowd out the weeds. Mac used a small tractor, but still my garden area is like an obstacle course with trees here and there. He did an excellent job! I sowed the clover seed and it has come up to where you can see it within a week, which says something for the quality of the tilling. Mac took every care not damage any trees or plants getting in and out of the garden. I only gave him a "B in Punctuality because he tended to underestimate the time it would take him to get where he was going, both when he came out to make an estimate and when he came to do the actual work. This wasn't a problem for me because I don't have a lot of demands on my time, but if someone was taking time off from their work, it would be different. Mac is very personable, does a great job, and I will probably call him again if it turns out I'm able to plant a garden later. The $150 he charged is his minimum for a job. I thought his work was well worth it.

John arrived on time on the date requested with his full sized tractor and a large tiller. I requested he pulverize this approximately 1/2 acre as it had been totally disrupted by a gopher and mole infestation which we eradicated last summer. He did such a good job preparing the field that I am able to plant in it immediately. He also removes those awful wild blackberries and does prepare ground for lawns, and other miscellaneous jobs. I would recommend his work to anyone interested in his many capabilities.
