They scheduled me in a very timely manner. The cost was a bit high for the work performed. It took some time for him to complete the project as there was some confusion about the details for the job (painting the new trim piece) and there was some caulking that needed to be touched up. But the job was eventually completed and it looks good.

He did a fantastic job at a far better price than his competitors. Not only that but he went above and beyond, by using materials I already had and helping me return concrete blocks leftover from a different job at no extra charge. He will be my first call for any future needs.

I needed a contractor to do a small amount of work on my house prior to its sale. I was on an extreme time crunch and Chris met this deadline. He was on time, stayed in contact and was very knowledgeable. He completed the work quickly and did a great job. He is very upfront and fair. I would recommend him and use him in the future. Thank you so much!

Arrived right on time.  Completed the tasks in a timely fashion. Quality of the work was excellent.  Very Professional attitude.  I was happy with the price.  And no problems have been found with the work in the time since it was completed.  I could not ask for more.

Chris and his helper showed up on time.  Chris knew exactly what needed to be done as far as attaching wooden blocks above the ceiling over the bedroom.  They went right to work and finished the job in a very timely manner.  They then reinstalled the support pole and secured it to the blocks above the ceiling.  Chris also inspected the damaged ceiling in our living room and said that he did not do the type of drywall and plaster repair that would be needed for but gave us the name of a contractor who could get that job done for us.
We were very impressed with Chris's professionalism and the prompt manner in which he got this job done.   We felt his charge was extremely reasonable.  We will definitely use him again and would highly recommend him to anyone else needing home repairs.

Overall it went very well. He finished the bed and chest in 3 hours. He had already worked on a group of activities last year for 3 hours. Definitely recommend him.

Existing house had a very small uncovered concrete patio, with doorway into garage, and the HVAC unit took up big part of patio.  Doorway, with no protective roof, had rotted framing.  We desired a much larger covered space to use in all weather.  We staked out the space we wanted, made a few sketches, did some research on costs, then called a few contractors from Angie's List who had done work in our area.
We interviewed three. One did not understand the project, another had a price estimate way out of range plus unacceptable contract terms.  Chris Jacobson, of Jacobson Construction, had appropriate experience, understood what we wanted, and provided good suggestions for our concept.  The initial price estimate was right where we expected.  Contract terms were reasonable.
The first good sign was that Chris brought in an engineer to finalize the cost estimate.  This gave us confidence that Chris was a pro who wanted no surprises, as he understood right up front that the project would require an engineered design to get building permits.
The engineer finished the design details, and we waited a few weeks for the building permits.
From then on the work went smoothly, though we were glad to finally see the concrete trucks arrive as the backyard was a mess for a while.  We have two dogs, who were banished from the backyard during this time.
The subcontractors (for concrete, roof trusses, HVAC, roofing, electrical, plumbing) that were brought onto the project were all experienced professionals.  All were courteous and friendly, as were Chris's workers.
Overall, a very good experience for us with Jacobson Construction.  Would use them again without reservation.

Chris came over on the same day that I called, even though he was also very busy.  He was professional and was able to figure out the problem on the spot - toilet wasn't secured properly causing the water to run down along the outside of the pipe.   To my surprise, he refused to take my money in the end, saying that it was just a small job.   It may be a small job for him, but certainly made my day to know that we didn't have to do major surgery on the house.   Thanks Chris!   We will definitely hire you for a bigger job next time and recommend you to everyone we know.

I was not happy with this Big Deal ($149 for Handyman for the Day). Chris showed up prompt like he said he would. He and his partner, Kevin, both went to work. Chris ended up putting up a few shelves, but they did not look professional or clean cut. He did not put the shelves up in the manner that we agreed upon. He used nails and screws, instead of all screws. There were other tools that they did not bring to do the jobs correctly. Chris seems to be slow at putting in the shelves. The time was up for the Big Deal and I offered to pay for the additional work, but Chris walked out on the project. Kevin did finish up the work that he was performing in our kitchen and bathroom and stayed an extra half hour. I was not happy with the way things ended and was offended by the way Chris spoke to me. I was told that I would receive a refund for this, but have yet to receive it.

Chris did not even get to work until 45 minutes into being there. I watched him eat his breakfast out the window! It took him 2 hours to put up 5 (mostly) precut shelves. In the next hour, he finished 3 shelves. Only 8 of 13 shelves I asked to be put in were installed. I offered to pay for the additional time it took to finish the job, but they chose to walk out instead. He claimed to have 20 years of experience, but I don't believe that that is true.

Very well. He removed all the damaged wood and moved it to a specified location. He took me to Home Depot to purchase enough wood to replace the wood removed because his trailer was long enough to accommodated the 16 ft 2X6 boards. He replaced the removed decking appropriately.
Mr Jacobson worked very efficiently and was a pleased to work with.

From first contact, he was courteous and responsive. He works with busy schedules etc by being flexible (phone, text, email, whatever suits the customer/situation). He clearly knows his trade and is conscientious about getting the work done right. Also reasonably priced for the work he does. Very nice person and just gets it done with no fuss.

Chris called me the day I bought the Big Deal, asking what services I was planning on.

He showed up early on the work day. He was professional in every aspect. He offered some ideas on how to improve my request (puppy had destroyed a wall, he recommended I also repair the door trim that was also chewed on). He worked beyond the six hours, for another 3/4 hour, and did not ask for additional compensation. He worked continuously - I never saw him take a break. He left the house clean and tidy.

Chris is great to work with.  He worked for a few weeks with my schedule and we agreed on a date in late September to do the work.  He arrived exactly on time and we reviewed the project.  He suggested lower cost approaches which saved time and money.  He worked up a materials list and I went to Home Depot while he got started on the job.  Upon my return, he loaded the materials from my truck to the job site and worked essentially throughout the day.  In the course of the project he noticed some additional work was needed and since I had the materials to cover it, he went ahead and completed the additional work.  Plus I asked him to do some light fixture work and he agreed.  At the end of the day he obviously went over the agreed upon and paid six hours of work, so I was expecting an additional invoice.  To my surprise he said it wasn't that much of an overage past the six hours paid and not to worry about it.  Throughout the project Chris stayed focused and paid attention to detail.  He had all the tools he needed in his support van, and that helped also in terms of time and money.  I would not hesitate to recommend Chris on any of your remodeling projects.

Excellent.  Chris was quick to respond to my call.  Took out carpet (and moved furniture) in all three bedrooms.  Tough job but, was neat (cleaned up after himself) fast and thorough.  Honest and hard working.  I was really happy with Chris and would definitely have him back for other jobs.
