I called at 9am, they were there before 1pm. I needed 2 rooms cleaned out and taken 10 minutes away. Immediately. The other moving companies wanted me to wait 2 weeks or something -- which I totally understand -- but I needed it pronto. The other companies wanted me to pay from the time their truck left their place -- and liek I said -- we live out in the boonies. So there is 30 minutes to get to us and 30 minutes back! Huge and heavy - that was all that was left to move and we had hoped to not have to move it. Half was on the second story and man -- coming around that banister with couches, desks, Pax units and a huge heavy table and bookcases!! I felt awful for them -- but they handled it terrifically.
We didn't have a way to transport our stufff, so they helped arrange a u-haul for us. Oh my gosh! Could it get better?
When it is time to move stufff again

This is my 3rd time hiring these guys to help with a move and I fully intend to hire them again in a few months when my house is built. They are HARD WORKING with great personalities. From antiques to dog beds they put thought into moving my home. They are happy to let the owners help but eventually it was easier to just direct traffic and tell them what went where. These guys CLEARLY know their stuff when it comes to taking apart dressers and beds and they have no problem getting dirty to get the job done. As my job was taking longer than was originally estimated they called in a couple more family members to help out.
When they showed up in the morning we were actually not done packing so the guys actually helped with some of the packing and even took care to humor my daughter who was concerned about her stuffed animals.

Great guys, the foreman is awesome. Got the job done quickly. A few very minor issues with responsiveness but the most important things were handled professionally. They took great care of our things. Moved two houses into one in one afternoon. I've used these guys three times.

I called a week ahead to see if they would be available on a Sunday for two hours, and they were. I was told they would arrive between 1:00 and 3:00, and they arrived right at 1:00. William and his crew of one carried VERY heavy reclining furniture from our basement family room outside, around the house and up to our garage for later pickup by others. They moved a huge old heavy desk from my third floor office to the garage, and were very careful not to ding the walls on our steep curved staircase. They moved file cabinets, bookcases, boxes of books, etc. I was very pleased with the level of care they showed to our belongings and our home. They were punctual, helpful, polite, professional, and very hard working. I will definitely hire them again.

One the day of the first move, I was called by one of the crew telling me they would be late due to some problem with a locked garage where their equipment was stored. They provided one extra crew member to compensate for the delay. Once they arrived, everything went well, except I was told I had to pay an extra fee to move two pianos. I explained to the receptionist when I made the reservation that I had two pianos. I was not told at that time there would be an extra charge. I paid it anyway.
The problem came with the second move. I was contacted a day or so before the move by one of the crew. He asked if I could change my date to Sunday so I could have them for a full day. I said I could not change the date and if they couldn't do the move, I would retain another moving service. I was told they could. When Saturday came, I was called several times by one of the crew. Each time I was told they were running a little late. By 2:30 pm, I tried to call them back. No one answered. No one answered at the company number. They never showed up.
I was able to contact another company. All Pro Movers. Three guys arrived a few hours later.

William and his crew were a god-send. They recognized that I needed help with the move and put my mind at ease.
They were first and foremost, courteous to me and very gentle with my and quot;stuff.and quot; They moved me room by room with ease and speed. They packed the breakables and carried the other and quot;stuffand quot;up lots of stairs. Their work ethic and energy were high and although I unpacked things that I had throw together, they were responsive to my request for little stress and asked how I was doing during the process. That meant a lot. The crew worked on stop until everything was in place leaviing me to decide what will go back up on the proverbial walls. I was in awe.
My move was just across the street but it could have been anywhere. William and his crew were on top of everythiing and moving with ease and knowledge of what they were doing.
I rarely give out praise just because people do their job, but these guys were charming and kind, a rare commodity in the service industry today. William called and confirmed our appointed day and time. He called again to say they were waiting for one of the crew and would be a half hour late. They took away boxes and paper and took and quot;stuffand quot; out for me as well. I can't sing their praises enough. Bravo, Island King Services.

I was in a hurry to move, there was some discrepancy with the landlord on when I had to move out and had less than 24 hours to pack and move. I called Island King begging for help and they were available the next morning. The price was reasonable and the service was good. I needed their help moving boxes and furniture from a second story apartment. As far as the move went, it was pleasant working with them, the only thing they could improve upon was the time. We had an agreed upon moving time and they called and asked if they could come earlier. Any other time I would have appreciated them wanting to get started with the job, but on this day I was not packed and ready for movers. It put me in a sticky predicament but it worked out okay and I was thankful for their help.
