Furniture Connexion

We visited the new showroom on Beaverton Hillsboro Highway in Beaverton. They were having a sale and offered another discount with a food donation drive. We met Chris and another, older man Jim. Chris showed us around the showroom and was very friendly helpful initially as he showed us leather sofas and sectionals. We made it clear on several occasions that we did not want anything made of bonded leather. The work men were putting together a new sectional and Chris told us that it was made of "top grain leather." My husband and I liked it and thought the price quoted was excellent. Chris checked on several questions we had about the couch and his answers were agreeable, so we held the couch and went to bank. Jim questioned the price as it seemed too low as Chris was getting our contact information and reviewing the price information with us. He double checked the computer and stated "Wow. That must be a mistake. Of course we will honor that price with you, but don't be surprised if it has a new sign on it at least a couple of thousand more when you come back." "You are getting a great deal." We left to get money from the bank as they offered us free delivery for our cash payment. When we returned and paid the money, they each told us again that "You got a great deal." I noticed that the invoice stated the correct information and price but noticed on the way home in the car that it said bonded leather. We called Chris from our car who checked with Jim. After Chris called us back, he said the price was for bonded leather and they would not honor the original arrangement. Then they lied and said the quote was for another coach. Then they said it would cost twice as much for top grain leather. "We will lose money if we sold it in leather." We had to return to the store where they again told me "We thought it was a different couch." I told them I wanted a refund and don't appreciate the way they treated me and wasted half my day and then trying to lie the way out of it." Jim even referred to the couch as "They were just putting on the floor today." Don't buy from this store. The salespersons we dealt with are arrogant and dishonest. A disreputable way of doing business.
