Description of Work: We just bought a duplex that needed quite a bit of refurbishing so my brother could move into one of the units. Plumber Jeff Higdon went thorough all of the plumbing for the entire building (both duplexes) and provided a report on what needed to be fixed and recommendations on some additional work that we might consider. We agreed with his assessment. Included in the work he did for us was replacing one toilet with a low-flow model, installing a new kitchen sink, rebuilding the shower valve in both units, installing a new sink in the master bedroom of one unit, installed earthquake strapping on water heaters, and replacing its sink, installing a new main shutoff valve in the crawlspace, changed emergency shutoffs for the whole duplex, and connecting laundry vents in the attic to assure that all plumbing was venting properly.
