We had already purchased the material and we just needed someone to install it and put in the baseboards.

They did an ok job. They really lacked on the finishing touches. They didn't caulk the base boards and didn't fill all the nail holes and we had to paint the base boards ourselves we ended up doing all the touch up work. The detail work was not done well at all. They were very kind. They didn't leave enough time to do the work so the work was rushed.

Tim & his crew arrived on time (a few minutes early even) and did the work in 6 hours. They did a great job mixing the planks up & fitting them in so that they created a nice random pattern (planks came in 3 different sizes). They carried away all the junk, although I did end up wiping out a number of light foot prints after they left, which was no big deal. Because we have a cement sub floor, they had to glue down the transitions, and we noticed the next day that one of the transitions didn't set quite right. I sent an e-mail to Dave, and Tim called right away to come by & fix it. He fixed it the next morning! We were very happy with the work done & would use Dave's Flooring again.

Dave was prompt in supplying an estimate that he stuck to. The work was started as scheduled and completed 3 days ahead of schedule. He and his crew were very knowledgeable about installing bamboo flooring and suggested various things that improved the look of our new floor. His after completion service was excellent and prompt, fixing various minor deficiencies like small cracks in boards. Overall he and his crew did an excellent job.

Mixed feelings - overall it looks great, but the devil is in the details. The work Dave did is terrific. However, his crew was a different story. One is that they did not take up the old linoleum tile in the kitchen, laundry and downstairs hall and you can feel a slight pop when you walk over these areas to the area where they laid on bare floor. Additionally, there is a warp across several boards in the kitchen which shows when sun is shining. Trim by the fireplace has popped and recently, when we pulled out the dryer for some maintenance, we found that they skipped putting trim in those areas. Finally, the vinyl trim in the kitchen needs occasional pushes to get it to restick to the wall. I will give them that they are fast, but would have preferred take a little extra time and make a nearly perfect job great. I have called Dave recently to hire him out to fix these minor issues, but he has not returned my call from three weeks ago.

The 2 workers that showed up for the job were obviously rookies but I felt confident since they are so highly rated on Angie's. Jay was their supervisor, but did not stay for the job. The tiles are not very level, the gaps vary between the tiles (they did not use spacers). They were supposed to come back the next morning for grout. 30 min after appt time, Jay came by. I showed him some of the work and he agreed it wasn't that great. He said "it's only their 3 job, I guess I should have stayed" He was going to come back that evening to fix some tiles. He was a NO SHOW, NO CALL. He left a message the next day that he was sick and "tried to call" hmmm. Finally he came over 3 days later but I didn't want to mess with them any longer so I just had him grout the tile. It has been almost a week since the job was done. I have not heard from Dave or anyone about payment. So at this point, I am only pleased that the work was free except for the tile cost.

Dave's had some equipment failures during this job, so it took 3 times as long as estimated. Once they were overcome the work was done well without trying to make up lost time at the expense of craftsmanship. Dave came back willingly to finish the few details his crew overlooked, such as the baseboards in the closets.

I am blown away by the finished product. Dave's crew, which means Jared, did the work. I had the demolition work done before the crew arrived so they started right in. They did a Versaille pattern with a Travertine stone product. The floor installation went as planned, there were a few plumbing glitches with the shower, but Jared was able to make the adjustments. The cost went up but it was less than calling in a plumber. The shower is a work of art. Jared built in a seat, an insert and a soap holder. The job took a little longer than we expected, but I was easy to work with and Jared stayed until the job was completed.

Dave and his wonderful crew were always on time and so professional. They know there trade very well. We are very picky about work done on our home and they exceeded all of our expectations. Any question or concern we had was handled with the utmost professionalism. They came and did what we hired them to do as well as went above and beyond in the job. Dave and his crew are great! From start to finish, they were extremely professional and hard-working. They were on time, cleaned up afterwards, and went out of their way to do a great job. Dave even came over to finish on a Sunday, and came over to my work to pick up stuff from me instead of asking me to come to him. A couple of additional expenses came up, but Dave explained everything to me, and the expenses made total sense. I am now moving, and I will definitely hire them again at my new house. Bravo, Dave!

Great! Dave and his crew did the work quickly and professionally in 1.5 days. They hauled away all of the old flooring, cleaned the nails, put the new floor in, and did the finish work. The house looks great now, we love it!

We chose Dave to install our floor covering (even though we had lower bids) because he seemed easy going and friendly. We have been very dissatisfied with his follow through. The cement floor in the kitchen still has a line the length of the floor that can be seen through the laminate (at the time of the bid he said lines showing was a bad thing and he would take care of them). We were told by Dave that he left ''ample'' laminate at the area where the peninsula would be (he had a floor plan of future cabinets). Unfortunately, when the cabinets were installed, he had not left ''ample'', in fact, he completely forgot the toe-kick area (which you would expect a professional floor covering installer to be aware of). We notified him and he promised to stop by and take care of the problem. After much time and several calls, he finally came by and filled in the space. We found him to be very unresponsive and even failed to show up for some of the appointments -- and didn't bother to call.

I THINK IT IS FAIR TO LET PEOPLE KNOW THAT WHAT WE INSTALLED IN YOU HOUSE WAS NOT LAMINATE BUT WAS VINYL. AFTER REMOVING THE EXISTING FLOOR WE FOUND A CRACK IN YOU CEMENT, TALKING YOU ABOUT OPTIONS TO FIX IT YOU CHOSE TO FILL THE CRACK FOR AN INEXPENSIVE FIX RATHER THAN POLISHING THE CEMENT FOR A PERFECT SEEM (MUCH CHEAPER) BUT RUNNING THE RISK OF SEEING THE LINE THROUGH VINYL. ALSO YOU TOLD US WHERE THE CABINET WAS GOING WE CUT THE CARPET OUT SO WE COULD VISUALLY SEE THE LAYOUT, YOU AGREED THAT IT WAS RIGHT, WE RAN THE VINYL 6" UNDER THE CARPET TO GIVE PLENTY OF OVERAGE, UNFORTUNATELY THE CABINETS WERE INSTALLED 8" FURTHER BACK THAN YOU HAD TOLD US THEY WERE GOING. NO PROBLEM WE CAME AND FIXED THE PROBLEM FOR NO CHARGE AS WELL AS FIXED ANOTHER CONTRACTORS MISTAKE AT NO CHARGE. YOU CALLED ME BACK TO RE-FIX THE OTHER CONTRACTORS MISTAKE BECAUSE I DID NOT HAVE THE RIGHT ADHESIVE (RUBBER BASE BOARD THAT THE FINISH CARPENTER PUT ON) I RETURNED FIXED HIS MISTAKE AND GOT ANOTHER CALL FROM YOU TO FIX HIS MISTAKE AGAIN. WE LEFT IT THAT I WOULD CALL WHEN I AM IN THE AREA AND TRY TO STOP BY WHEN IN THE AREA. AND I HAVE NOT DONE THAT, IF YOU WOULD LIKE ME TO STILL FIX THE OTHER CARPENTERS MISTAKE I WOULD BE HAPPY TO HELP. IF YOU WANT IT DONE AT A SET TIME WE JUST NEED TO SCHEDULE IT FOR A SERVICE CALL."

Dave was prompt with an estimate (same day), and after an unexpected (uncontrollable) delay, worked within my schedule to complete the job. He was friendly, easy to work with, and was willing to work with me to keep the costs down. I removed all the moulding and toilets myself, but he gave me some instruction and helpful tips and helped me lift and replace the toilets. A pleasure to work with.

Dave was great. We were in a bind trying to get our house on the market in a few days. He came out right away to give us a bid and came back just a few days later to do the work. He allowed us to buy our own materials, and even told us where we could get the best deal. The floor looks great. I've already recommended him to a few of my friends.

We needed to replace our old floors in 2 of our bathrooms and looked at a couple of contractors. We decided on Dave's flooring based on the comments we found. Dave was great! We have hired a number of people to do work on our house over the last couple of years and Dave is far and away the best. He was on time, very polite, answering all our questions. He was very reasonably priced. His price was lower than the other estimates we had done on the floors. He is efficient, experienced, and a true craftsman of floor installation. He did an absolutely beautiful job for us and we strongly recommend him. In fact, we are hiring him for some other work on our house in the near future.

Dave is very honest and professional. He was quick to return calls and set up convenient times to do the work. Some parts were tricky, around a banister and stairs, but not for Dave. The floors look WONDERFUL. We will definitely be calling him again with future work.

Dave was exceptionally personable and easy to work with. The tile looks great and his work was very well-planned, detailed, clean and efficient. He was very flexible in terms of allowing us to save money by doing as much of the prep work as we were capable of and giving good advice and suggestions.
