He did a small job here for us and he did an excellent job. No complaints at all about him and I give him the best ratings. I'd call him back for the next job. It was a tough space to work in, he did an excellent job and he managed to do it in one piece of flooring and it was nice.

We are extremely pleased with Scott Seger's excellent work. The marmoleum was installed so nicely that the seam is barely visible. In fact friends who've seen our new kitchen have remarked that the floor doesn't have a seam--they can't see it until we point it out. We definitely plan to ask Mr Seger back one day to install the leftover piece of marmoleum in our bathroom.

Dan was on time for all appointments form the estimate to the last day of the job. He helped me with unforeseen problems with the subfloor. He really knows about older home construction and was able to repair the subfloor without tearing the whole thing out. He later returned to put in the subflooring and marmoleum. I am very pleased with the results.

He did a great job. He paid great attention to detail, and his knowledge of an older home was excellent, especially in terms of how to work with the sub-floor and the previous materials that had been put into the bathroom; he needed to take it all out and properly install the marmoleum. There was nothing that he could have improved upon. The price was very reasonable. I would rate him highly and would use him again in the future if necessary.

Dan showed up the day that I called to give an estimate. The runner he installed on our stairs is perfect. Very high quality work.

Dan came in sized up our project, told us what he thought was the best way to proceed, gave us a very good price and let us make our decision. You could tell he was focused on giving us the best job possible. He gave us top notch advice, materials and a great new floor. We've lived on the floor for better than a year. It still looks and feels great to walk on and we have had none of problems I've heard other people have had with Marmoleum installations. If you want a great job get a great installer---I don't think you can get better than Dan.

This was a small, but convoluted area in our bathroom that needed new vinyl. It required pulling back carpeting, removing wood molding, replacing a vinyl molding and working in several angles. Dan was very prompt in looking at this at our home. On the day of the work, he arrived promptly and did a very thorough job - including correcting some problems from the previous installation. He billed us exactly based upon his estimate. I would highly recommend him.

It went great and I will hire Dan the next time I need to have floor covering replaced. His "old-school" attention to detail was just what I needed in our 1940s home. He was always prompt and professional. He offered me the option of buying the Marmoleum myself and bringing it home so I didn't have to pay him extra to drive around town buying supplies...and the supplier gave me Dan's contractor discount as well.

Dan knew the proper way to install. He recommended the proper "extras" to bridge height differences in the floor.

They were very responsive in answering phone calls and also when they said they would be coming. They did the job within the time frame that they said. They did the job in a better way than what the other service provider was supposed to do. They installed the flooring as one piece. They explained things very well and came up with good and practical solutions for the problems that came up. I did not have any complaints. They were very professional and straight forward. They explained as to what they were going to bill me.

I've used Dan before and had great experience. He had replaced flooring at our beach house last year, then we had a pipe break which required a redo of the flooring in the bathrooms. He agreed to go back down to the beach-I paid for extra time/gas-and do the job over again. He is a pleasure to deal with. His prices are reasonable, and he's a perfectionist. If you have need for Marmoleum install, Dan is great.

After years of tripping over the curled linoleum seam in the middle of the laundry room, we decided we needed to have it fixed. We found Dan on Angie's list. He assessed the situation, informing us that part of the problem was the sub-flooring. He explained that we could save a little money by procuring the marmoleum ourselves, which we did. The job entailed removing and replacing all the baseboards, which was a little tricky. Dan did a beautiful job--you can't tell that anyone ever touched the baseboards. The floor is beautifully smooth--we are only sorry that we didn't do it years before!

From start to finish, Dan followed through on everything. He consulted with us when there were choices about how to proceed. He was in our home for almost 4 weeks and was easy to be around.

If you love your home, and want someone to work on it who gives the same attention to detail that you do, then Dan Seger is your man. After tearing out 7 layers of old flooring in an upstairs bathroom, the floor level was way below the base of the wainscote. I brought home several mouldings, none of which were the right size, so Dan custom cut each one, stained each so I could see how the final result would look, and helped me select the perfect one. He made sure I was a part of every decision that needed to be made. He made a template of the lines of the bathtub (no, it's not flat) so that the tiles snug up perfectly. All the mitered corners of the base are perfect, all holes are filled, etc., etc. And I am thrilled he rescued the original threshhold and restored it. He is a craftsman start to finish. Because there had been so many surprises/problems as I started into the remodel, I agreed that it would be most fair to work on a time and materials basis; so while the total may look large, he put in an extraordinary amount of time and the results are worth every penny.

It took three days. His professionalism was great. It was easy to set up an appointment and they showed up on time.

He came early to prep the floor and get it all smoothed out. Then, he came back at a later time and installed the flooring. Everything was very good.

It went very well; he was on time and did what he said he'd do. He was professional and clean. He was courteous and on schedule.

Dan installed marmoleum (sheet not tiles) in a small bathroom I remodeled early last year. The quality of his work was fantastic and I really liked working with him. So, when we added onto our house, including a new kitchen I had him back to do that job. It was much larger and required a lot more prep work. We had radiant heat installed in the space and a leveling compound was applied over it to then take the marmoleum. Dan had to spend a considerable amount of time to get the entire floor smooth, 16+ hours to be exact, before he could install the flooring. As expected, the floor looks fantastic. Dan is one of those guys that you never have to think twice about whether you made the right decision.

Met our expectations perfectly. The marmoleum meets the existing oak with no gap and no height difference. This was important to us as the edges of the flooring was NOT at a threshold and we did not want a tripping hazard. And it looks great. Dan discussed all my concerns and set expectations accordingly. He provided much detail to me on the initial phone call so I knew that I wanted him to come for an estimate. He is used to working in older homes so he was quite familiar with what needed to be done. He is a busy man so we didn't get an estimate immediately but that allowed us to get three others. And he met or beat the others. He could have done the demolition of our existing fir floor but we opted to save money on that part. and we did that ourselves following his instruction. He set up on day 1 and did the repairs, Day 2 was the subflooring and day 3 was the install. He cleaned up every day. He was most pleasant to work with and have in our home.

Dan was very professional, down-to-earth, and easy to work with in all aspects. Not super cheap, but his attention to detail and reliability make him worth it.

Dan was not the lowest bidder, but his attention to detail and willingness to explain things, even during the visit he made to make the bid, made the difference. The other company was in and out of here in 10 minutes and didn't point out any of the potential problems that might arise. We are 100% satisfied with Dan and his work. Knowledgeable, thorough. Have no fear! Keep it up!

We re extremely happy with the work Dan did for us. His estimates both the cost and the overall time the project would take were extremely accurate. Dan was always punctual in arriving on the job (or phoned ahead to let us know when he would delayed). We were very impressed with Dan s dedication to doing an outstanding job -- including his focus on finding solutions that would be period-appropriate for our 1918 Craftsman-style bungalow. His meticulous attention to detail, and his superb workmanship. We also appreciated the fact that Dan allowed time at the end of each day to completely clean up after himself. Dan was also easy to get along with. Highly recommended.

Dan installed marmoleum in my bathroom, kitchen, and breakfast nook during a remodel shortly after I purchased my house. The bathroom floor had severe water damage from a leaking tub, toilet, and sink and he repaired the sub-floor and put down marmoleum. He also installed marmoleum in the kitchen and breakfast nook. The seam in the marmoleum in the kitchen is completely invisible and people who come to my house often try to figure out where the seam is. Dan did an excellent job installing, was very punctual, communicative, and did an amazing job.
