Custom Tile Design & Remodeling

Zdenek was referred to my by my plumber. He turned out to be as skilled and honest as my plumber said. Zdenek reconstructed a shower in my l956 house. After demolishing the old shower, he discovered that the framing was rotted in places and other framing members were not sufficient for remodeling. So he replaced the rotted wood and strengthened the framing before beginning to install wonder board in prep for new ceramic tile. When it came time to deal with the shower floor, it needed a new drain pan. Instead of buying an inexpensive preformed drain pan at Home Depot, which would in time fail, he built a new shower pan by hand. Then Zdenek asked me to call him when I found out what time the inspector would arrive so Zdenek could be there to answer any questions and hear first hand of anything else that should be done to pass inspection. When the washington county inspector saw the work, he immediately approved it and then said: "It's been a long time since I've since this type of quality work." Zdenek cares about doing a superior job and uses high quality materials and processes so I believe him when he said: "This shower will last a long time." In addition, he did everything that I asked of him. He tiled the ceiling, made on wall a separate color, and added accent tiles as I requested. Now the shower looks great and i don't have to worry about any more water leakage problems ever again. After this positive experience, I decided to ask him to retile a second bathroom and again everything went very well. He retiled the shower and then used large porcelain tile on the floor and it turned out very well also. I have other tile projects I'd like done in this house and when I want to begin, I'll be calling Zdenek.
