 + -1 moreI had been looking into purchasing a new home or a second home, just tentatively and did not want to take up realtors time when I wasn't ready to list or buy (My Father was a broker and I know how he hated to be used). I was upfront with them about not being near a decision about selling or buying, but that didn't stop Carol from wanting to come out and look over the place. But instead of trying to sell me on listing or anything else, SHE HELPED, ADVISED, and invested her time with absolutely no guarantee that anything further would come of it. I know what a good Broker should do, but she has already passed that line and she isn't my broker. Please don't take advantage of any Broker, be as honest with them as they are with you. If you don't feel comfortable, change listing agents when the specified time has elapsed, but try the Hoag's and feel at ease with the truth for once!
Description of Work: Carol Hoag and her husband Harold, who work as a team have not sold my home. They haven't listed my home. They have not pushed one inch, however, my search for a realtor ended with them. They have become the greatest advisors one could have when preparing to sell a home. Their input is invaluable and free (one assumes Real Estate Agents make it up in commissions, but from experience, these two ask for nothing and give everything.). They have advised me on several issues to great benefit (i.e., getting a home inspection so you know where you stand before hand), advice on where to put your money in fixing things or upgrading, as well as suggestions on who they have had good experiences with. It could be 2 years before I sell this home. It could be 2 months, but they have made it easier, and I will report final transactions. I just think that more people would benefit from their knowledge, rather than just finding someone who sells and collects a commission.
