Will and Holly were great. They were prompt and professional. The end result on both the tile and the door was better than we hoped.

I live in a condominium community and when replacing our front doors we have to use a specific door with specific colors and hardware. I contacted Bridgeport Construction because they had already replaced two of the doors in our complex and I figured they were already familiar with the process. The owner took care of ordering the door, had it painted and ordered the correct hardware. The owner and his wife arrived on time for the installation, but had forgotten to have the peep hole installed as I had requested. They were able to install one on-site, and it looked fine so no problem there. The work was completed without any issues. But after several weeks, the deadbolt appeared to be malfunctioning. I called and requested that they come back and try to determine the problem. I set up a time, and the owner didn't show up. I called back, he apologized and we rescheduled. He didn't show up again for the second scheduled appointment. I called back for a third time, he apologized and we rescheduled again. Frustrated, this time I said "So, we're going to meet on x date at x time, correct? This is the third time we've set up a day and time for you to come out and both times you didn't show up or call." He confirmed the date and time. His wife showed up at the scheduled day and time, did her best to resolve the problem, and couldn't. They then directed me to the lock manufacturer who was able to fix the problem.

They did what they said they were going to do and for the price that they said. There were no surprises there, but overall I just didn’t have a good feeling about it - I don’t know why. He was very accommodating and did the work on time. He got in here and got it done without going away to do something else. However, I didn’t have a warm and fuzzy feeling about it. I’m not sure if we would use them in the future.

Their manufacturer sent the wrong type of windows, but they handled it very well and are making it worth my while. I am very comfortable with them around my house. Their pricing is pretty average for the market.

Will Pickens met with me, gave me an estimate and was able to begin work as soon as I was able to get the doors delivered (1-2 months, which was much sooner than another contractor I had spoken with). I paid for and ordered the doors myself through Parr (they were great to work with too) and I obtained the necessary permit through the city. Although I wasn't aware Will wasn't going to be doing the work himself I was very pleased with the man he had do the job. He was courteous, trustworthy (he was in my home when I wasn't there) and did great work. Will came back a couple months later to see the finished work and install piece of wood finish on the floor (no extra charge). I'm very happy with my doors and the job they did. I'd hire Bridgeport again if I needed doors or windows installed.

Finding myself newly single after 34 years of marriage, I am now facing all my home improvement decisions totally on my own. I was very nervous about this double-door project because I knew they had to be ordered correctly to fit my entry. I had no experience with this. The friendly, expert advice I received made this project possible for me. Having Bridgeport come to my home to do the measurements allowed me to feel confident in choosing and ordering the door from a local lumber retailer. I also was able to call when I had any questions and had my queries answered promptly. The installation went well and my new double door fits my entry perfectly.

We will definitely hire Bridgeport Construction to do more work with us. We have a lot more remodeling to do in this house and they do great work. We feel very lucky to have found such conscientious people to work with. They were flexible when our doors had to be sent back to get the glass etched. They did the install then offered to come back and hang them whenever they arrived back. They also came back after the painter had finished working to install the door knobs - on a Saturday. I would highly recommend them and have offered to add my name to their reference list.

In my mind a test of a professional is not so much how they perform when things go well, but how deal with situations when there are circumstances beyond their control. That is what happened in my case. Will and his wife, Holly, went to great pains to measure and accurately order the new windows. However, when delivered one of them turned out not to be correct. After making sure they did not make a mistake ordering, they proceeded to take the matter up with the manufacturer. This was not as cordial an exchange as one might think, and Will made certain I was kept informed as to their progress. Finally all was rectified and the job completed. I am impressed with the quality of workmanship and diligence exhibited by Will, Holy, and the crew. Yes, it was not the best of situations, but that, as I mentioned, is the true test. I rate the 'overall experience' a ''B'', not because of any of Bridgeport doing, but rather the SNAFU by the supplier, as for the company itself, I give a solid ''A''.

Professional, quick. Never felt like I was being swindled in any way. Windows look beautiful given that we live in an old house and with settling it was hard to make sure the new windows fit properly. I would recommend them to anyone.
