 + -1 moreI made an appointment with Jake from BJ Rex to work on an apartment building on a Monday morning. He never showed up. I called two times over the next couple of days and left a message to set up another time. The last call I made was asking him to at least call me and cancel his work. He never, never returned my calls. How rude.
Description of Work: No worked was performed.

 + -1 moreOur experience with BJ Rex was terrible. They broke our contract in several ways, supplemented with poor quality building materials, and generally were unqualified to perform the level of work we expected. Most of their work was not performed to building code. The City of Portland's building inspectors helped us to compile a list of 12 (12!) code violations that we used to force BJ Rex to stop work and accept drastically reduced payment. If we weren't informed about construction in general (one of us is a carpenter), we would probably have been defrauded and left with a big mess on our property. We recommend that consumers avoid BJ Rex at all costs.
Description of Work: We contracted BJ Rex to replace our driveway, garage foundation, exterior steps and introduce drainage into our backyard. Our contacts were Ben Witkowski and Jake.
