We don't have a lot of experience in upgrading kitchens, but we found the experience pleasant and rewarding! Working with Beaverton Kitchen Cabinets was great. Their showroom had their cupboards on display so we knew what the ones we picked would look like. And, they have great pricing for their products - and they are NOT PRESSED WOOD type products! We had used some of their cupboards in a bathroom several years ago and they worked great - so we expect the same results from these new ones.
For the installation, the crew they sent out was probably the best group of workers I have ever had the privilege to work on a project with. They were on-time, worked very efficiently and worked with us through each step. They custom cut the granite sheets for our new counter tops on-site as well. So everything was done right at our house.
If you have a project were new cabinets are needed, I would strongly recommend you talk to BKC before making any final decisions!
I was first told about this company because of their low granite prices. They were in fact way below their competion for the exact same granite.
The backoffice people (Josh) was very helpful in keeping my quote updated as I made changes before and during the install. I asked for a person to come out and measure beforehand to ensure my measurements were exact. They did without any extra charge and I'd suggest this is always done. The day of the installation 3 skilled guys came out and went to work. They knew what they were doing and had 4 big vanities and backsplashes done within a matter of hours. They asked questions along the way to make sure they did exactly what I wanted.
There was one issue when they screwed in a GFI using the wrong screw and it wrecked the box. They issued me a discount for the problem since my handyman had to fix it.
I'm very happy with the counters and would recommend them to others. I know I'll use them for other jobs I have coming up.
~Paid extra for a wine rack and wine glass holder, standard wine glasses will not fit in wine glass holder as installers placed the holders too close together. Company informed of this and was unable to adjust width of holders. Recieved a discount
on the wine rack but it still irks me that my glasses, which are standard, have to take up cupboard space when theoretically i should have had a functioning, correctly spaced wine glass holder.
~2 months after installation, glazing on cabinets started to chip. Company notified and said they would send someone out. Attempted to schedule a date, no one available on the days I have off of work...
~3 months after installation: 1) One drawer hinge broke with normal usage ( I was eventually able to fix this myself) and granite CHIPPING at seams on bullnosing. Company notified and they offered to send someone out but could not commit to any specific date that I had available, instead I recieved 3 calls mid- morning stating they could come out that day, which is unnacceptable as I work FT and cannot just be home at their leisure. I have still not heard back about the chipping cabinets or the chipping granite.
~Installers screwed screws in so deep that cabinets are splintering in numerous places around screw holes.
Customer service was great at first, but after they got my money, it seems to have dwindled down to nothing. I should
Unfortunately, the installation was a DISASTER from the word go.
The employees did a bang up job of removing the old cabinets and countertops, but when it came to the new installation, there was nothing but trouble. We felt that the biggest problems were based on the fact that the installers were and quot;hackersand quot; and not quality professional installers.
The list of screw-ups is far to long to list here, but I believe a group of school kids could have done a better job!
This company had to return several times before we felt the job was completed to our satisfaction and even then we had to complete a few items ourselves.
Even the supplied faucet went bad. The shop gave us a new one and when that one went bad, they sent me a check for the cost of the faucet. I went to Home Depot and bought a new kitchen faucet and have had no problems since.
After this experience, I wouldn't hire this company to build a dog house!!!
