Paul was responsible for this major remodel from beginning to end. He and the architect were our key team. Paul provided vital input in the design phase as well as getting permits, coordinating all of the subcontractors with attention to every minute detail. He was very clear in what he needed from us and when it would be needed (picking out lighting fixtures, meeting with us and key subcontractors for flooring, cabinets, etc.). He kept the neighbors happy during the process. One of them complained of the noise made by the tile subcontractor. Paul resolved the issue immediately; and our relations with our neighbors remain great. Paul wears a tool belt and was on the job every day (not one of those general contractors who doesn't know how to use a hammer). The site was cleaned up every day. The walls and carpeting and general debris they tore out of the house every day was taken away every day. The construction site was always clean. Every minute detail, in and out, has been attended to. We cannot find a thing wrong. There is no "checklist" of stuff that we need him or any of his subs to come back and fix. Paul shared his 30+ years of experience in guiding us through the process - always finding ways to save money. We are thinking of building a home in a few years and would not consider anyone other than Paul Dehen - Aware Construction!
