Amp Electric Inc.
About us
Amp Electric was founded in 1990 by Jerry Faught. As a company, we're well qualified to perform almost any job in Commercial, Residential, or Industrial buildings. We've installed everything from 480volt 2000amp electrical services for a steel processing plant, to local area networks, to installing cabling for your new home theater. Customer service is extremely important to us, and we train our electricians to put your desires and concerns at the top of their priority list. We are currently working towards becoming a green company. We diligently recycle as much of the scrap metal and cardboard as possible, we recycle all spent fluorescent lamps that we remove from our jobsites (ask your electrical contractor if they do this). We try to minimize our use of chemicles that are harmful to the environment. We try to make the most efficient use of materials so there is less waste/garbage at the end of the job to throw away. Whenever possible we choose sustainable materials rather those that deplete our limited resources. We an Energy Trust of Oregon trade ally, and help you get rebates and tax credits for making energy saving improvements to your home, or commercial building. We mainly save you energy through efficient lighting or appliances (new or retrofit), but we can put you in contact with the right people to make other energy efficient improvements such as a more efficient furnace, insulation, heat pump, duct sealing, etc. We can help you work towards sustainability. Services we offer
We can diagnose any electrical problem. Tenant Improvements, and more! We do bids for free. If you just need something small, design builds, large equipment disconnects/reconnects/installation, lighting designs, lighting retrofits, like a light replaced, new custom homes, new electrical services, panels, remodels, we will just give you a rough estimate over the phone. Very small jobs can't justify the cost of sending someone to do a formal bid.

Matt arrived as scheduled, did the required work and finished by approximately 8:30. Matt was very pleasant to deal with and I was relieved that the final cost was less than the earlier estimate.
It's such a pleasure to deal with a well-organized, responsive company and contractors who know their business.
We called AMP in the morning and Jerry Faught stopped by later that day as promised. He quickly made the connections, including modifying an existing connection. The price was appropriate and the service friendly and fast. We would definitely use him again and recommend him to others.
They explained how they would do it (way more easily than my presumed method, which I gave up prior to starting), what the trade offs were, and got approval for one contingency if they ran into problems.
They were done in one hour, left it exactly like I wanted it and submitted a bill later.
This exceeded my expectation for value and ease of arranging the work.
This was a small job, but I got entered into their schedule within a couple of working days.
The responsiveness was great. Jerry arranged to come a few hours after I called where others offered to schedule me between one and three weeks out.
Minimum price for a visit is $200 which is what I was charged. It seems high for such a small amount of time but if it had stretched to an hour it would have seemed better, yet faster is actually better.
In short, I will not hesitate to call Jerry again.
Jerry was easy-going, confident and kind. Will definitely keep him on the radar for future projects!
