 + -1 moreDavid did a wonderful job with our upright Petroff Piano. He did a fine tuning, a pitch raise, fixed a pedal,and steam voicing. In just a few hours we had a great sounding piano. David was professional and did a great job explaining what he was doing and why. I would definitely recommended AAA Piano.

 + -1 moreOverall the encounter was pleasant and David spent considerable time explaining his method.
Description of Work: David Streit tuned my piano using a computer tool. Since the computer showed a number of strings to be very out of tune he told me he would have to tune in two stages and charge me $150 rather than the $100 negotiated over the phone. This whole procedure was new to me. I have a good friend, a classical musician and piano tuner, who never uses electronic devices and tunes entirely by ear so the process was new to me. I was not comfortable with this method

 + -1 moreI have a Kimbalette spinet piano, which was built in 1953 that was my mother-in-law's. It had been moved around, but was always kept in a home. I had it in my home for just over 2 months. AAA Piano services was recommendation from a instrument repair specialist. After reading about AAA Piano services on-line I was impressed with David Streit's credentials and decided to have him come over and assess this piano. He called to give me an ETA prior to our agreed upon appointment time. After an initial examination of the piano, he explained that the strings were not properly seated and that the piano could be tuned, but would soon go out of tune as the strings are stretched and attempted to reseat themselves. After the estimate and review I decided to go ahead and use his services. On the day of the tuning, once again he called prior to his arrival to confirm his arrival time. He had a device that could put the piano in a flat position so he could work on it like it was on a table. He explained what he was doing and showing me how it was done. He worked on the piano for almost 10 hours and only took a short dinner break. It's been a few weeks since he's worked on the piano and it is playing quite well for a small spinet. I was very impressed with his work and would highly recommend him to anyone.

 + -1 moreMr Streit, in our opinion, is near the very top of his field in experience and in his professionalism. We will stay with him to continue to care for our piano.
Description of Work: We had Mr. Streit tune our very old upright grand for the 1st tuning in about 35-40 years. He did an *excellent* job for us [both with tuning and repair] and we will have him back to do our future tunings. Please forgive me, I don't recall the exact amount we paid, however I think the per tuning was about $70.00 per visit. Our old piano was so far out of tune we had to have it done in stages. We were also extremely pleased with the fairly extensive repairs he did for us.
