We have performed approximately 12,000 home / building inspection and we are a founding board member of OREIA, (Oregon Real Estate Inspectors Association). We do not perform repairs. All of our clients are encouraged and more than welcome to attend the entire inspection process. We strongly encourage this as all our inspections are interactive so the customer and home buyer has a good learning experience of the conditions and issues with the house that they are buying with direct face to face communications with their inspector. How longs has it been since someones been in your crawlspace or attic? We do not perform repairs. No conflict of interest and experience does matter when comes to your home. Home Inspection
Steve was great! He came early, clearly explained what to expect, how he would complete the work, and was very interactive with me and my wife by allowing us to follow him around the inspection of our new home! He always allowed us to ask questions and keeps an open line of communication even after the inspection. He provided a clear report within a day! He takes card also!

Fantastic. I am a Realtor and I have a Client who called Steve Nagel to have a Home Inspection, prior to selling a home for a relative who had passed away. Steve explained that he would be better served not having an inspection as that may come back to haunt him since he would need to disclose a Home Inspection had been performed. Steve could have done the inspection and collected a fee, but Steve Nagel has INTEGRITY. I love hearing stories like this. It restores my faith in humanity with people like Steve Nagel in the world. BTW - He is a GREAT Home Inspector!

Home Inspection, Foundation Repair
Outstanding service! Steve responded promptly and came out to assess our specific issues. He recommended we engage for a foundation-centric inspection for half the cost of a standard full house inspection. He spent a generous amount of time inside, outside and in crawl space to fully assess our situation and readily discussed what he was seeing as we walked around together. We are confident that we received an accurate view of the issues and sensible next steps to take.

Home Inspection
We were buying a duplex and wanted to have it inspected before moving forward with the offer. Steve arrived on time, did a thorough inspection with suggestions on what other things could be done to better maintain the home. We felt confident that I had all the information to make a decision on the property, We were able to negotiate the price down based on what we learned. This is the second time that we have used A2Z and would use Steve again.

We had Steve do a few Home inspections for us, and he did a great job. His inspection was very thorough and detailed, he was prompt, and discovered so many things that we were not aware of. His inspection report came the same day all typed up with about 45 pictures with notes next to each picture and very clear and easy to understand notations next to each photo. At the house he walked us around and explained everything in simple language so as we could easily understand what was needed to be repaired, or monitored. We saved thousands of dollars off the purchase price using his report for negotiations. We had a very good understanding of what we were buying. We would not buy a house without having Steve do our inspection, even if we have to wait some to get him. We now have Steve come to our house and do a follow up consultation inspection so as we don't let preventative maintenance items get ahead of us, this has been a very cost saving measure for my wife and I.

Steve was prompt, very professional, and thorough. He took pictures all during the inspection. He crawled lifted, unscrewed, pulled, tugged,poked, used a leveler and did not leave a stone unturned. I am so impressed by his ability to find problems that others may have missed. I am using his services again once the owner does the repairs. He did the house- 3 bed-2 bath and the guest house -studio with bath for under 500.00.

Great. It is not easy to find a Home Inspector who will drive to the beach to inspect your home. Steve did and the results were great. He found every carpenter ant in the deck, identified that our hot water heaters were at the end of their life (budget for replacement) and several earth to wood contact issues.

It went very well. Steve was very thorough and does not do any repairs. He explained everything to me completely with patience and understanding. Now I have a clear understanding! A2Z Inspections does not perform any repairs, so this was an unbiased opinion. I will always call Steve with A2Z Home Inspections do follow up inspections in the future. I am saving more money than I would have if I had not had this inspection done, due to what I was planning on doing before. It went great! I called Steve yesterday and he came out today and was on time. He was polite and walked the house with my husband to show him what he was looking for and at. He took pictures of items that need to be addressed and did a slideshow for us at the end of the appointment. He is also going to send us a written report about his findings. He made sure we understood why he was suggesting the repairs and we would use him again.

Steve did an excellent job and provided fantastic advice to solutions around the house that I could take care of myself and save me some money. Not only did he have a great network of reliable plumbers, electricians, handyman, etc., but helped me select one to to fix my shower and look at my electric panel that needed to be replaced.

Steve with A2Z Home Inspections has earned my trust and confidence, trust and respect. He is thorough complete in his performance methodology of how he performs his inspections. I learned that he has been doing inspections for 28 years and experience and time in the business, profession really does matter. He has inspected two residences for me that I have purchased and I will always use him in the future, due to the fact that he has saved me a significant amount of money on each purchase, (exponentially) for the amount that I paid for the inspection fees, as I saved thousands on purchase price for repairs that he discovered that I would not of otherwise found.
