Robert DiFranco
The quotes were emailed quickly with clear detail of agreed upon work. I selected one Amana 2-stage furnace with A/C to replace an oversized, loud, and inefficient existing unit. I also selected to add A/C to an existing furnace for our second zone.
Once I accepted the bid they called to schedule the installation. The team of 3 showed up on time and worked for 2 days, as planned, to complete the project. Unfortunately not everything went as I had hoped due to the challenges with a 100+ year old house, however solutions were found and the project completed on schedule.
The new furnace is a dramatic improvement over the previous one.
This was the first contractor I looked up through Angie's list. Robert was a rock star and I was totally happy with his service. He was like a friend working on my house with me. I had no problem giving him the money, he earned it. They did a proper job with a good guy approach. If I needed anything in the future I will use them every time.
ALL told me the furnace was old and needed to be replaced, parts were hard to find etc. without even looking at it. I talked to a friend of mine and he told me about Roger and the guys at Clean Air Act. They were out the next morning inspected the furnace, called the manufacturer and found out that that particular unit had a small relief that vented a miniscule amount of gas when it cycled off, (this is what the duct cleaner had smelled) in fact they told him it should have had a decal on it so when installed in a new house the inspectors wouldn't red tag it. They also found a weak spring in the control unit on the furnace and replaced it. It is a Lennox furnace and the local Lennox dealers either didn't know or didn't care about these facts but they were all pushing very hard to sell me a new furnace with removal and install fees. Roger and crew were very professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all my questions. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again or to recommend to a friend or relative. In fact they will be the first call I make if I ever need furnace work or when I finally need a new furnace. Thank You Clean Air Act
