ARTISAN WALL FINISHES

Mary had previously painted the exterior of my home but now I had a couple of small jobs that were big problems and was very glad Mary took them on for me. The bathroom had previously been painted by another contractor who had not let the primer cure properly before the finish coats were done. As a result the paint crackled or "alligatored" and looked awful. Mary found the appropriate undercoat to fill the cracks and make the finish coat look smooth again. The kitchen had also been a victim of the same previous contractor who had botched a texture job. Mary recommended a contractor who did a float coat of drywall mud to make the walls smooth again and I was very happy with her choice. Then she did the priming and painting. She also painted a bedroom. All of the rooms needed the ceilings done as well. Mary does all her painting herself and takes pride in her work. She was prompt, efficient and completely trustworthy. Her prices were very fair. After scheduling the work and going over all the details, I left on vacation and when I came back everything was done and cleaned up. It was a good job: the walls were all properly prepped (holes patched, texture matched, edges caulked, etc.), everything was trimmed in nicely and I could tell she had drop sheeted everything since there were no paint drips anywhere. My father was a painting contractor so I can tell a good job. It makes me kind of picky.
