remodeling
+ -1 moreThe person who recommended Daniel to us said that their relationship on a very large remodel had been "100% Absolutely Perfect". I'd thought there was no way this was true. Daniel worked with us for 4 months on our house. The relationship was "100% Absolutely Perfect." For a general contractor? Really. It's true. He always arrived on time. When he left our house he may not have been as clean as when he arrived, but the work area was always spotless. He came to our house every single time one of his subs was there. He always answered our calls promptly, if not instantly. Really. He gave us typed quotes before any work was done. Every single time. Even before he ever found any problems he told us exactly what sorts of problems we might encounter. He was always polite and did a great job navigating whatever disagreements my wife and I may have had on which steps to take on any given issue. He explained in detail about each step of the project so that we in no way felt in the dark about the remodeling process. The relationship was 100% Absolutely Perfect. Really.
Description of Work: Daniel was the Licensed General Contractor on the remodel of our home. He directed his framers who cut huge holes in our walls for new windows on both floors. He made sure the new windows were properly installed. He oversaw the work of the engineers on the Hardy Frame panels that the permit office said we needed and that had to be bolted into our foundation. He found mistakes that our engineers (not his engineer) had made in their plans. Daniel oversaw the work that the bathroom tilers and plumbers did to remodel our bathroom. He made sure that the restucco of our entire house was done to our complete satisfaction. He oversaw the work that the plumber did as well as the major amount of electrical work. He is a master craftsman in wood and leaded lights (so he did a fair amount of the woodworking himself, such as ours and our kids closets and shelving) and his also being a Licensed Architect enabled him to give us great ideas and insights into the even such mundane but important bits as choices of lighting, molding, tiling options in the kitchen.
