Mike Jolly Handyman Service is here to help keep your home beautiful from top to bottom. I have been working on homes for 15 years and have just decided to start my own business. I do not at this time have subcontractors but I do have references for quite a few services that I don't do. I have an LLC through the State Of Oregon Registry#65536592 I also have a license through the City Of Beaverton and I am insured up to $300,000.00. I don't have a trip charge or any initial service fees. I do Free Same Day Estimates. I have a $200.00 Roof/Moss/Gutter Clean (average size home) on special & a 10% discount for Angie's List users. 1. The bathroom vanity he installed downstairs leaked at the drain joint because it was screwed together crooked. Obviously they didn't even bother to check that.
2. The grout they applied in the tile backsplash around the vanity was a joke - thin, uneven, patchy, broken.
3. They plumbed the bathtub upstairs, but ran the drain plumbing wrong. Rather than buy $3 of parts and do it over they cut a hole in the wall and slid the tub a half inch into the wall to make the plumbing work. Also, they ran the tub drain such that it ran right into a supporting floor joist, so they cut most of the joist away to make room for the plumbing.
4. The wood filler they used on the trimwork upstairs cracked and peeled away after a month.
There was other work they performed there also. All of it was equally shoddy.
Overall I'm appalled at the complete lack of pride in their work. I personally could not have done such shoddy work and felt even half way decent about accepting payment. They should be ashamed of themselves.
