We are very happy with the results. Gary has a good eye for detail and design. I showed him a picture of what I wanted, we talked about it and he had very good suggestions. He kept us informed of his progress on the project.

Gary does beautiful wood work and he is excellent in tile work.  I was insistent that I wanted a glass counter top and he made it happen.  I love it.
Gary has also done other work for us in the past.  He built a 10 foot by 3 foot wall display unit out of cherry with adjustable shelves to display my husbands wood turning items.  Everyone that comes into our home comment on the quality and beauty of the piece.
His skill at finishing the wood is excellent.
He has also re-tiled the shower in our hall bathroom and again I am very satisfied.

My wife and I were looking to update our kitchen. My wife had been inspired by a kitchen she had seen on a DIY show. The current cabinets were oak with raised doors. Her new kitchen needed painted cabinets with slab doors. We knew, from experience, that the current cabinets would not take being painted.
We found Gary Boechler through a mutual friend. We asked him to provide a quote to re-face the existing cabinets and build new slab doors and drawer fronts. His quote was what we had expected (in the ballpark). We gave the project to him.
Working with Gary was a real dream. He was always very professional when dealing with me and my wife. He provided a contract of what work was to be done and material he would provide. And what we would provide. He started on the day we agreed on. From there I will say everything went very well. When an issue did arise Gary would discuss it with us and make recommendations on how to proceed. This really helped make the project move along smoothly.
Gary's workmanship (it really is craftsmanship) and attention to detail was outstanding. In preparation, Gary covered the floors, carpets, and put up a visqeen curtain to keep dust from entering the other rooms. His re-faced cabinets look so much better then the old. For example where two cabinets came together the old had a molding, the new re-faced cabinets had a solid front (no trim needed to hide a seam anywhere).
When the project was completed, he cleaned up so you did not know he had been there.
We felt very comfortable with having Gary do this project and would ask him to help on our future projects.
We love our new kitchen especially our and quot;newand quot; cabinets!

My cherry-wood armoire had been damaged during several past moves. There was a gap between the stationary shelf and the wall of the cabinet, and the doors did not align evenly nor latch securely when closed. It had gotten so bad that I was concerned about the shelf collapsing if anything heavy was set on it, and the uneven doors detracted from the appearance of the armoire.

Gary realigned the armoire so that it was level (despite a 1//4and quot; slope in the floor of my new house(!). He re-installed hinges which were improperly installed, additional braces to the shelf, and straightened the catch latches, and shimmed up the base of the armoire to compensate for the slope of the floor. Everything is working as well as, or better than, it did when the armoire was new.

Gary's work was excellent and I recommend him very highly. He had the fewest reviews of the cabinet makers that I called for a quote, but the reviews he did have were excellent. He was able to give me an estimate and complete the project more quickly than the other three cabinet makers whom I contacted. His prices were good. He broke the costs out by project, and (as expected) some areas were higher than other quotes, and some were lower, but the overall quote was very reasonable and I chose him because of that and the promised delivery date.
I'm very happy with everything he did. Adding a mantle and adjustable bookcases to the master bedroom fireplace made a huge improvement in the room. The job included removing carpeting from where the bookcases would sit on the floor and re-tacking the remaining carpeting, and relocating electrical plugins and light switches to inside the bookcases. (They were previously on a portion of the wall that were covered by the new bookcases. He also trimmed and re-laid the baseboard molding around the base of the bookcases. If I had wanted to save money, I could have done the painting of the bookcases myself, but I opted to have him do that, and he did an excellent job.
I'd just moved into my current house and did not have a place to store my spices before he built the two custom pull-out spice racks. He also made the house more functional for me by lowering an existing cupboard in the room I use as an office, and moving the pull-out recycling bins from the cabinet that I wanted to use for the spice racks, and placing the bins under the kitchen sink. He also applied window film to a highly placed window, to give me more privacy.
I will definitely re-hire Gary, if I have other projects in the future. His work is very precise, he draws pictures and takes the time to make sure both he and his customers are expecting the same thing, has great communication skills, and sticks to his promised time frames.

I loved having this professional person in my home. Gary was polite and respectful, and good at listening to what I wanted and letting me know what would fit into my budget. He was careful with his supplies and cleaned up after himself. Other workers I have had have not been good at translating my ideas into reality, and Gary was a true professional.
I would absolutely hire him again. (I actually have had him do work for me over the past 5 years)! If you are looking for excellent quality, an honest person and reasonable prices I highly recommend Gary for any project you have in your home.

We called Gary Boechler. He gave us a bid, and then built and installed the beautiful cherrywood cabinets that now glow in our kitchen. His workmanship is that of an artist. He took care of every little detail. At the tile company he patiently helped me coordinate the backsplash tile to go with the cabinets. He gave us lots of options; wood, hardware and design. We now have great lazy susans in both the upper and lower cabinets. At the midway point we took a vacation for a couple of weeks and Gary continued on while we were gone. When we got back the cabinets were in place and we were delighted!
The clean, handle free lines make the cabinets look like framed pieces of art.and glow like they are rubbed with honey.
We will hire Gary again in a heartbeat when we are ready for more cabinetwork.
