I know that everything works, it still works. I’m happy. I guess, they were within the range of normal price.

They gave us two options to fix the problem with prices for both.  Both prices were fair and we picked the one we wanted.  The work was done promptly and well.  The tech (same one that did the estimate) was very knowledgeable and professional.  He replaced the duct and installed a pump to drain the condensation properly.

Just one technician came out and it took them a little over an hour or so. The first time they came out it didn't actually fix the issue with the air conditioner, they had to come out a second time, which they are trying to charge us for.

Have used Pace a few times in the past and have always received quick, professional, courteous service at a fair price. The technician came out on the same day service was requested as they have in the past. Service technician was polite, and took his shoes off without being asked since he had to come through the house to access the attic furnace from the hallway. He did some testing, and found a defective circuit board, which was not reparable. Fortunately, it was a common one and he had one in his truck. The service was completed in a timely manner, and he showed me the defective part which was about the size of a mother board in a computer. Since I had purchased a coupon from Angie's list, the $39.00 was deducted from the cost of service. Even without the coupon I would have used them anyway.

About a month later the display on the digital thermostat went blank, and I discussed the issue with the operator at Pace. She suggested I replace the batteries, and I did so. When neither the AC unit nor the furnace would not start with the new batteries, the same serviceman was dispatched that afternoon. He discovered that there was a shorted wire and fixed it in a few minutes. He rechecked the system, and it worked as expected. There was no charge for the return visit.

I will continue to use Pace do to their integrity and excellent prompt service.

After struggling to keep an aging furnace going for the past 4 months, we finally bit the bullet and bought a new high effeciency furnace from PACE. The salesman from PACE was very knowledgable and gave us plenty of options from which to choose. He did not, however, tell us of all the steps that would be necessary in order to make the local government happy. Just as the installers were wrapping up, the lead installer let me know that the furnace would have to be inspected by the city. I wish I had known that at the start.
PACE actually made the appointment for us, and when the inspector came out, he found a leak in the venting leading up to the roof. PACE came out that week, determined the problem and fixed it in about an hour at no cost to us. One of the original elbow fittings had cracked during installation. Since it's been fixed, we have had no problems with the furnace.
I think my favorite aspect of the new furnace is the programmable thermostat. (It figures, I'm a programmer.) Now we no longer have the nightly and morning ritual of adjusting the thermostat; the programming does it all automatically.
This is my first new furnace install in over 25 years. Overall, it was really rather painless (even including the cost). We will recoup some of that money with tax credits. We will know in a month or so how much it's saving us on our gas bill.

"We're glad we were able to provide you with a remedy to your situation, though we realize that promptness is something we can always improve upon, this is the kind of feedback we need to know that that is something we need to improve upon! If you ever have any issue with your unit, please give us a call and we will do our best to respond quickly and fix your system with as little of inconvenience as possible!"

Two installers arrived at the appointed time. They were clean, neat, diligent, hard workers, and very professorial. They took the time to do things correctly and meticulously. They cleaned up after themselves and checked to verify the operation. They showed us how to operate the system. They were very pleasant. I would definitely recommend this company.
Response from Pace Heating & Air
"We're extremely happy that you are happy as a customer! Our goal is to provide you with grade 'A' service and meet your expectations as a contractor and that we treat you the same way that we would wish we were treated ourselves!"

I would recommend them. I had my furnace go out last year on a coldest day of the year. They had the furnace fixed the next day. Their price is a little expensive.
Response from Pace Heating & Air
"We are happy to know that your system was taken care of effectively and promptly with hopefully as little of inconvenience as possible! Our pricing is not always the lowest, but we stand behind our products and their quality and firmly believe that even though you're paying a little more, you are getting the bang for the buck and purchasing a long lasting system!"

The A/C quit working, so my wife called Pace for a service call. She was told that someone would be there between 2-4 PM, so she took time off from work to be there. The technician arrived about 5 PM, and at first determined that the problem was a blown fuse. He told her that the fuse was about $60 (I later found out that these can be purchased on the Internet for $2.99) and with installation $136. He installed the fuse, then determined that the disconnect also needed to be replaced. He told her that cost was an additional $233 (this part can be purchased on line for $23.85), and that the system was slightly down on refrigerant, an additional $50 to top it off with a couple of tablespoons. I arrived home from work as the work was being completed, and complained about the inflated parts costs, resulting in the service technician removing the $136 for fuse replacement - not a big deal, since the new disconnect came with new fuses anyway. I realize that the company is in business to make money, and expect that parts costs are inflated, but I think that one or more orders of magnitude of inflation is excessive. Next time I will attempt the repair myself, and if I can't do that, then I will call a different service company. I should have checked Angie's List first...
