This is the best firm that I have found. They are very skilled and my yard looks the better than when it was serviced by other companies. The crew is conscientious and you can tell they take pride in their work.

Joel and his team are absolutely great to work with. From the design of our bare backyard to construction with stone, gravel, sod, plants, irrigation, and lighting, everything went smoothly and on track. At the end we have a great backyard that we can enjoy for many years to come. Joel's design proposal was inspirational, but at the same time he's also very accommodating to our requests to change things around. His willingness to work with some materials we found and purchased online (and not through him) was much appreciated. During the two weeks construction time, his team was professional and courteous. They kept us up to date on the progress, what's next, and gave us ample time to make decisions (some last minutes) so we can end up with exactly everything we wanted. We will be using them for all future backyard needs, and we highly recommend them.

It went great! American Landscaping probably has the most knowledgeable Irrigation Engineer in the area. He was able to quickly assess the issue and repair the break in our irrigation system in a very short amount of time. Other places wanted to completely replace all of our irrigation from scratch for four times the cost including a change in our timer which American Landscaping was able to ensure was working as it should without replacement. If they had needed to change it the price was significantly lower than other businesses. Every member of that team was extremely nice, helpful and willing to answer all my questions with patience and respect. Next spring I have them scheduled to hydroseed both my front and back yard including smoothing out areas we messed up during the pool installation. I will also be transferring my services I had at a different location to American Landscaping for Irrigation start up, shut down and backflow check. I will add a landscaping review next year. There really isn't enough room to say all the wonderful things about this company. I would recommend them 100%.

Joel and his team were a dream to work with. They were right on the mark, budget-wise. They did everything we asked and more. This was a big job that took several weeks. They worked in the mud and rain to remove sod and plants and to bring in boulders and place them. Joel was very easy to work with in order to get a design we really liked and when we ended up removing two big trees, which made the side yard sunny instead of shady, he met with me to choose new plants. He worked from a list of plants that I like and gave great advice about putting in a dry river bed to deal with some unexpected drainage issues. The finished project is so much better than we envisioned. All the neighbors walking by stop to comment and compliment! I'm just thinking about what our next project could be with them.

Installers were prompt, conscientious and considerate. There were an initial higher bid and a later, lower bid, done by two different people, which caused a couple of mix-ups, but all was resolved. The irrigation system works exactly as I want it to work, and I will be glad to call them again if/when I need help with the system

The provider was very professional and punctual. We went over all of the needs to revamp my back yard. They not only took my requests they incorporated additional suggestions. Some of the design work I couldn't picture. So, they came back to me with a full drawing of my backyard with the layout. It was great. I would contact them for a future project. For this particular project, I decided to go a different way.

My husband says that it isn't spring time unless I run over a sprinkler head. 2 years ago, I did just that. Husband proceeded to damage 3 pipes trying to fix the problem. Well, life gets in the way sometimes. Hubby had shoulder replacement surgery and I need those sprinklers back on line. Asked if he thought I should just call someone and he just started beaming (he doesn't have to do the work).
I called American Landscape based on a recommendation from Angies List. I do have to say it is a busy time of year and took a few days to get back with me. Jack was a very knowledgeable technician. He repaired the sprinkler system in just 1 hour. My plants will be extremely happy this year.
I will call American Landscape when I am ready to re-design the backyard in a few months.

Very well. Installers were very knowledgeable. Both of them said they had each worked for this business for 18 years.

We emailed and called these folks three times total. On one occasion, we spoke with a person who said they would call us back. We have still not heard back, one week after this process began. I guess they don't need our business.

Have used them every year to service our sprinkler system and set timer.

I pay $125 a month. They are dependable and thorough. They are polite.

Basic shaping was done to where the irrigation system could be laid out. More dirt was brought in to bring the yard to grade and then completed the installation of the irrigation system. The last piece then to do was to finish grading the dirt and bring it to and quot;plant readyand quot;. Once that was completed then the sprinkler heads were adjusted to grade.
The quality of work was satisfactory but a few requested details in the shaping of the yard was not followed. I don't know where the breakdown in communication occured. The end result was satisfactory enough to leave it as finished. The job was not done till the end of the season so we were not able to plant the yard and landscape it. This was not the fault of American Landscape. We came to them late in the season so we were aware of the risk. We feel that when we complete the planting this spring that the details missed will be moot.
We put this project out to bid and American Landscape provided the best price...by far.

I can't recommend this company highly enough! They came when they said they would and did a fantastic job of paving. Tidied up and the final bill was exactly as quoted. I have had them back to do some additional work and if I need anything else they will be the first I call

Great service

We met with Joel and William in May and agreed on a plan, price and timeline. The project consisted of a fairly large paver patio with a lot of complex curves. There was also a pergola structure and fire pit that was part of the project. The backyard also had some drainage issues so Joel and William suggested that we install an independent drainage system both under and around the paver patio to insure that no puddling occurred and that the surrounding lawn drained properly. From start to finish there was good communication. When we raised issues, they were dealt with immediately and to our satisfaction. The paver patio is absolutely beautiful and of high quality. Additionally, during the construction of the patio, parts of our lawn were damaged and they fixed it better than it was before. They also cleaned up after they were done, good as new. They also did a good job working with the other contractors who built the pergola and fire pit structures. All this required coordination and they were willing to go the extra mile to make sure everything was done right and that it all worked together. Both Joel and William and their crew are really nice and easy to work with. True professionals and they made the project fun. I would highly recommend this company!

Member Comments: American's field rep and manager, William, did an excellent job of helping us make a plan. He took lots of notes at the initial meeting and the tech that was along gave us an informed explanation on the use and ease of the new timer. While the job was in progress, William personally came to the site every day and even stopped by the day after all work was completed to see that things were operating properly. Courteous crew in red company shirts came ready to work and got after it. Their processes included careful actions like putting a tarp under dirt that had to be dumped on the roadway, being mindful of neighborhood parking considering all the trucks, trailers, and equipment that came and went, cleaning up, touching up any area that had to be disturbed, and even doing some extra things we requested. Great company, great results!

Great workmanship and design.

I don't usually give such high marks, but they really were great! I ended up getting 6 different quotes. Most were much higher and tried to over-sale me on the irrigation system. A few were ridiculously lower and made me cringe at what the quality of work might have been. American Landscape came in below what we thought we would need to pay, but above those very low prices. Overall, a fair price for the great quality of work. I felt bad asking them to additionally prep our side yard area, to tweak the layout of the sod, and to add sprinklers. They didn't seem to mind though. Hard working, professional people doing what they have obviously been trained to do over the years. They did such a good job, we might have them out to redo our front yard.

Because of the terrain and soil the work was more difficult than expected. There was a lot of attention to detail and some aspects of the job were decidedly unpleasant such as crawling underneath the house several times. There were no complaints nor were short cuts taken. When the job was done I decided to change and add a few more things and these were done with no additional charge. Overall I am pleased with the results, workmanship, and quality of materials.

Asked for a backyard design bid (also asked other companies) American Landscape had the most complete design - met our requests - and best price. Initial contact was early spring so we had to wait for the ground to dry. they kept in touch with us to let us know about weather delays and their predictions for a start date. They did the work we agreed on and went beyond that. When they were not satisfied with the quality of plants or the work as it progressed they replaced plants with others (sometimes more expensive ones) or did the work over again. The professionalism of the entire crew and 2 principals were outstanding. They checked in regularly during the 3 weeks of work to make sure we were satisfied and regularly answered emails when we had questions. The final result was far superior to what we had anticipated in our best imagination. Their attention to detail and artistic integrity are of the highest magnitude. We intend to use them again with some simpler work on our front yard. We would recommend them without any hesitation!!!
