AK Carpet & More is family owned and operated, established in 2000 by Andrea Hampl and Ken Burling. This father and daughter team have 35 years of combined sales experience. David Gumm joined the team in 2004, bringing with him over 25 years of knowledge in the flooring industry. I had purchased my carpet from a sample that I found at AK carpet. When the carpet was installed, the color was what I wanted but the quality of the carpet was not the same. The grade of carpet that was installed in my home was inferior to the one that I ordered. I was not there when it was installed or I would have stopped it. Later I went to AK carpet I was made to feel like an idiot and that I did not know what I was talking about. I have purchased many carpets over the years and this is the first time I have ever encountered a problem. I had one employee come over and literally yell at me that I was wrong. Also I was told that this carpet came with a twenty five year warranty, I have yet to received anything from AK carpet confirming this even after I have requested it. And last but not least, the installer who by the way, did do a nice job. Was over 3 1/2 hours late showing up. Now I am left with an inferior grade carpet in which I paid a premium price for. With no warranty backing it up.
