Garage Doors By Ryan

Ryan was there in 20 min. as stated. He was very professional and friendly. He assessed the problem with the rollers and springs, and would be able to do the complete repair and servicing at the time. ( I will attempt to explain this as I best can--). After approx. 30 min. he explained & showed me how a couple of the door panels were needing extra pressure to close properly. He said that a couple of support bars would remedy this, & he did have everything he needed on the truck. I told him to most certainly go ahead, as we wanted the door to function properly ! I feel that Ryan was very good about showing and explaining the work being done- and recommended, without any pressure. He wanted to be sure that we understood and approved the work done. I was impressed enough that I scheduled a maintanence visit for my garage door since I had not had any servicing for it in the years I've had it. And I had not been lubricating the springs, rollers etc. with WD-40 that should be done every couple months to keep it in optimum shape as he had shown me on Mom's door. I did learn it's much better to prevent a problem (and a costly problem at that!) by doing this simple task! I am so thankful we found Garage Doors by Ryan, who WOULD be there for those after hour emergencies !!

I have used Garage Doors by Ryan twice in the past three years with good results. I called to set up an appointment and was given a date and time for the following day. He never showed up and did not call. I left a voice mail asking if there was a problem, but never received a call back. I understand that repairs may need to be re-scheduled due to unforeseen circumstances, but it is very unprofessional not to call or contact the customer.

Everything went very well. They showed up quickly, removed the broken spring, installed a new spring and corrected the cable winding/pulley on one side. They were very friendly, fast, and answered all my questions.

Great!!! Called and was told that there would be someone out within the hour. Sure enough, they were there as promised. I was told it would be 85.00 plus any parts. The springs were reasonably priced and he didn't charge anything extra for labor to actually repair the problem. When I asked him if there was more than the 85.00 for labor, his reply was that I was his neighbor and he wasn't going to charge any more than what I was told on the phone.

I left a message late Sunday night (not an emergency) and he promptly called me Monday morning. We arranged a time and he called me at work to let me know he was on his way. He quickly and efficiently replaced the parts I called about and also reinforced the area so there wouldn't be any further problems. Total time: 30 minutes. Very polite, price was very reasonable.

Fairly pleasant gentleman. Was very quick to come out. Told me he appreciated my business. Really my fault for not getting quotes until he was already here doing the work. From the places I called and check with, it APPEARS that $280 to $300 was the going rate for replacing 4 springs. Unless I am missing something, I was charged about $100 (33%) more than the going rate. The labor was only $85, so that was certainly reasonable, but I was charged $75 per spring, which appears to have been too high. I could be wrong, but I'm going with what I was quoted by other companies. Bottom line, I wouldn't tell you not to use this company. Just get another quote or two to compare the price BEFORE the work is done.

He did fix it originally and I was very happy. When he left it stopped working. My husband and I have been trying to get it to work since, and have asked around about it. It seems like the belt needed an adjustment when it was installed. I called him back and asked him to come make the adjustment and he told us it was the electricity. We had the electrician come out and paid for a service call, but that was not the issue. I called last Thursday to tell him that information and that we're still having an issue with the belt. I asked him to come back hopefully at the beginning of this week. I have not heard from him since.

Called another company on this site. and quot;We only do work in your area after 12:00 p.m.and quot; I work in retail and this time of year my schedule is crazy. Called Ryan. and quot;Be there at 4:00 today.and quot; He called back and said he could come early. Do it, I said. They showed up and had the part in hand. (He knew exactly what part because he knew what openers were sold in this market.) They replaced the part, adjusted the chain tension and checked the door function in 20 minutes. They were polite (called me sir!) and effiecient. Highly recommended for anyone who needs any type of garage door or opener service!

Ryan called on the way to get the directions again and made it only about 30 minutes late, He replaced the springs, got the garage door open then showed me the worn and wobbly rollers. He gave me an estimate to replace them as well which I approved. He finished the work quickly and efficiently and the garage door is much quieter now. He didn't have any receipts with him so he just wrote it out on the back of a business card. Wasn't concerned since wrote a check anyway. He was very courteous and instructive.

I called Ryan first thing in the morning, and he came out around 1:30 p.m. He communicated by phone when he was going to arrive, so I didn't have to wait around all day for him. He was quick, professional, and very knowledgeable about his field. Hopefully my garage doors will be in good shape for awhile, but if I need service again, I will definitely call Ryan.

It was a Saturday. I needed someone quick. Ryans showed up quickly. Replaced all rollers with new neoprene wheels except for two. Not sure why they did not use the same type for the last two. When I had time to price shop on Monday I realized they were a bit overpriced, even for a Saturday. Two days later the door stopped closing properly. After examination I realized they had put one of the rollers (the one at the top on the left) on upside down.

Called on a Saturday, and he came out within an hour to give an estimate. Performed job same day very quickly. I am so pleased!

My brother called Ryan on Monday afternoon, and they made an appointment the next day between 4:00 and 5:00 to fix the garage door opener. They actually made it about 1:00. Fixed both problems and the door works great now. Mother had a $15 off coupon from the ATand T Yellow Pages, and he took the $15 off and told her to keep it just in case she needed to use it again. Total cost was $40. My mom and dad are both 86 years old, and desperately needed that door fixed. We really appreciate such good, prompt service at a reasonable price. I'll be calling them for my garage door needs in the future.

Called Ryan set up appt. for the next day at 4:00. Going to have to squeeze it in between kids and meetings. Ryan called the next morning at 10:00 saying he could come then if it worked out for me, which it did. He was here within 30 min. He installed two springs although only one was broken, he explained the other would be sure to follow. Seemed reasonable enough to me. It was another 65.00 from the original estimate. He said that was just for the spring and wasn't any additional labor or real time involved. It all sounded ok to me as the springs have been here as long as I have...and that's a while. He was in and out within 30min. He left the old springs with me, which was fine with me, I don't like when people take the broken item with them after a repair. Very nice, courteous and professional. He was even nice to my dog... I would definitely use him again.

Techician arrived on time. He confirmed that barrier sensor was not working. He secured sensor wires neatly and checked to see if old sensors could be used. One was bad so it was replaced. He pointed out that the door rollers were worn out. Not surprising after 25yrs. He replaced all of the rollers. He was quick, neat and professional. It was a little pricey, but all in all I was satisfied with the work.

Prompt and efficient service. Very pleasant experience and would definitely use this company again.

Amazing response from Ryan again.

My garage door comes off track and sounds like it is going to fall as it tries to close. I try to shut the garage door, it has completely come off track and has now shifted over to the right side. There is no way to close the door or open it. I cannot go to sleep without my garage door shut tonight. I start calling companies, nobody answers after 5 PM. I leave messages. No call backs. I'm fearful nobody will answer. I call Garage Doors by Ryan (24-hr service) will he pick up the phone? 2nd ring, Ryan answers, I told him my problem, said he would be over in 45 minutes. True to his word, he pulls into my driveway in less than 45 minutes. He is friendly and knows what to do right away. He gave me clear options, he understood people don't have money just lying around to fix garage doors. He could do a quick fix and come back when I wanted him to fix it, or he could do it all tonight-my choice. Being a woman, it is important to find a person who is honest, helpful and respectful. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM!!!!!!!!
