Finished Touch Inc

He quoted me for painting 4 rooms. I planned on doing all of them, but told him UP FRONT that it may need to be done in stages as I have the funds available. He said that would be no problem. I gave him $100 cash up front to start the following Monday, but he didn't show up until Wednesday because he claimed he was sick. He worked a two days, but had to leave my job to finish another job and complained about that client a lot. After each day of work, I asked him if I could give him some money. He said NO, he wasn't worried about it. After a few days of this, on Tuesday, I finally asked him when he was expecting payment, since I was wanting to pay for each room as we went along... He said he wasn't all that worried about it and said that we could settle up when we were all finished. The next day, Wednesday, I told him that I looked at my cash flow and noticed that my husband tapped into my painting funds, so it would be best to finish up what we've already started and finish the last two rooms in the next month or two, as i replenished my painting account. I told him that I'd pay for what he's already done on payday... and i made it very clear that payday was either Friday or Monday... this was just a couple days away. He said that's fine... Thursday, as he was finishing up, my husband came in and checked on progress... and I asked him in front of Chad if payday was Friday or Monday... he said he thought it was Monday, but it could hit Friday night. I told Chad that I could write him a check and text him if it was good on Friday or if he needed to wait until Monday to cash... OR I could even deliver it to him on Monday or sooner... He said we'd just meet up on Friday (which i thought was a little odd, considering the conversation we just had - but i let it go). Friday morning arrives and I start getting text messages from him at 7:25AM asking if he could come by for a check. I thought it was odd, and replied reminding him of our conversation the day before. He then called me, screaming at me, telling me he wasn't paying attention to anything my husband told him, calling me a deadbeat and saying he did his job and expects payment NOW. I was absolutely stunned about the situation and couldn't believe he was screaming at me and threatening me. I was very scared and arranged for him to go to a friends place of business (the person who recommended him to me in the first place) and have him paid... While I was trying to make these arrangements, he kept calling me.... it was crazy. Within five or ten minutes of making this arrangement, he was already there....and he once again called me from there screaming at me because they were busy and couldn't get to him right away. I demanded that he stop calling me or I would call the police. My friend was shocked.... I was shocked... and we were both in agreement that he was either drunk or on drugs... By Friday afternoon, after he had already got paid, I was informed by my friend that his WIFE was threatening me on Facebook saying they were going to take me to court and put a lein on my home. The funny thing about all this was payday was Friday night and I could have gave him cash Saturday... Chad Patton dba Finished Touch, Inc. is someone I wouldn't be able to recommend to anyone... And to be honest, i'm afraid to post this, because they are crazy people. But you have the right to know!!!
