Veterinarians
I stopped in one day on a whim, I had just adopted a rescue dog, and needed to find a vet. When I stopped in, the place was nice and clean, everyone seemed friendly, the doctor came out and talked with me for quite a while about Mange, Rabies, and overall general health. I thought this was great! I found a great place to bring all my animals! For the first appointment, my husband came with me, and while the doctor was still nice and very chatty, we found that the office staff left something to be desired. They were rude and curt. The appointment went well, my dog still tested positive for mange (and had a severe case according to the doctor) and needed another visit in a month. We were told to use some medicated shampoo along with his medicine.
For our follow up appointment, a month later, my daughter was with me. We checked in, my daughter and the dog where wandering around the waiting room, and the receptionist actually said to my daughter, "make sure he doesn't pee in there". Really?!?! This is a vet clinic and you're worried about a little pee? I'm sure the waiting room has seen its fair share of it. And the rest of the visit went downhill from there. The doctor seemed like he must of had a bad day, he wasn't as friendly as he had been on the two previous times. The doctor told me that although my dog has improved more than he had expected, he still might never get all his hair back. I guess, he didn't look closely at my dog's skin since he had new growth in all of his bald patches. At checkout, the receptionist tried to get me to schedule another follow up visit but I told her that we would be travelling the rest of the summer and will have the dog looked at another clinic and she acted like that wasn't acceptable and was very rude. I paid my bill and haven't been back.
