I dropped off a car to get repair work done, and my other vehicle (which my son drove there, to give me a ride home) had a burned out headlight.  Ron's and one of his mechanics looked at it on the spot, replaced it right there, and when I asked how much I owed, they said "zero... the bulb was ours, and it's under warranty".   That was a nice surprise.

Ron's has worked on my cars for years, and has always done outstanding work. He has also worked on my parents' cars too.   I fully trust him and Bill, and the rest of the crew.  When he cannot do a specific job, he tells me, and recommends another location (this is rare - he can do almost anything). When I have work done, he mentions other work that he recommends, but we discuss a plan, and he tells me what can wait and what needs to be done.  He is flexible.

In fact, I have had him look at two vehicles I wanted to purchase. The first one has been an outstanding vehicle -- my favorite running vehicle of all time (in my 30+ years of driving).  And, most recently, the second vehicle looks to be another great one -- I've only had it about a month, but it is doing very well.

The only drawback is that he is not open on weekends.  He does have night drop though, so you can drop off keys after hours, and get your car serviced, without having to take it during the work-day.

OUTSTANDING MECHANIC!!!  EXTREMELY TRUSTWORTHY!!!!!   (no, I am not a relative -- just a satisfied customer!!!) :)

Ron's appears to be listed under the city of Warr Acres, also, in Angie's List.  (it's the same location as this review.)

I brought in a Lexus that I had my heart set on but was told by Ron that next time I plan on purchasing a car, bring it in to them to inspect. They will do this free of charge for regular customer, which I am because they're the only place I trust to be honest and fair as well as do phenomenal work!
The car was inspected by a few of the guys and they told me to not walk away from this car but to RUN!! I am so grateful to Ron's because otherwise I would've had a car with engine and transmission problems!
I only use Ron's and his prices are beyond fair and always cheaper than most anywhere else. He is honest enough that if it's something they aren't comfortable working on they will send you to an equally reputable place. I had to have a transmission rebuilt, after inspecting my car he referred me to American Transmissions and didn't charge me a dime for the time spent on looking at my car. I tell everyone and anyone to use Ron's, even strangers! Most of my co-workers use them and even my ex husband now uses Ron's when normally we can't agree on anything, on thing we do agree on is Ron's is the BEST IN OKC!

After describing in detail the problem that I needed to get looked at, (a rattle within specific RPM range, only while accelerating) I told the service salesman that I also wanted an oil change and tires rotated. He explained the diagnostic charge that was very reasonable. The mechanic first drove my car around the block and proceeded to rotate the tires and change the oil. The mechanic asked me to come take a look at what he found out, but the problem was a different one entirely. This is an aging car so I expect wear and tear of the drivetrain, but the mechanic did not even mention the rattle within the RPM range. Instead I listened to a long explanation of how the wheel bearing is failing and that is what is causing the noise.

---- In fact, the noise the mechanic heard was the hood over bumpy surfaces... For some reason, this car (since it was new in 2001) has had a shaky hood and it is most noticable on the highway (literally moving up and down and at first a very scary sight). Over major bumps, the hood will make a clanking noise related to this degree of looseness. -----

After this explanation, I tactfully conveyed my disagreement, but to deaf ears. So at this point, it was obvious that I was having my car serviced by either an amateur-in-uniform or a former tire-changing lube technician that had limited drivetrain experience. This may be an excellent place to take your good car for regular maintenance, but not recommended for aging cars that are starting to fail from long commutes.
Response from Ron's Total Service Center
"We have checked our records for this customer and have been unable to find a record for this customer or the vehicle. If in fact we serviced this car and it is under another customers name, we would like to know which customer name the vehicle was serviced under. In the OKC metro area there are two other auto repair facilities that have similar names, Ron's Tire and Auto and Ron' Auto. Unless the oil change mentioned by this customer was a fully synthetic oil change, we cannot fathom that an oil change was $79. If in fact this was serviced at our facility, please contact us directly 405-495-5501 as we would like to have a chance to check our diagnostic and warranty any work possible. We, at Ron's Total Service Center, strive to provide the best, most honest experience of any repair facility and are not happy unless the customer is happy."

It has been really good. They have been very thorough and I have not had any problems. They were able to get my car in and get it worked on quickly. They were professional and friendly.
