Well from the beginning it went great. I called and he asked that I text my address to him and he would get back to me. He called me very quickly that same day and we set up a day and time for him to come look at the project. Granted - it is an extremely small project but still something I needed done. He told me he would get back to me by Friday with some ideas and a quote and I never heard from him again. That was a month ago. I have sense purchased the materials and plan to do it on my own.

"If I remember correctly, I could not find her material. She gave me a number of a company that had it. They were not real cooperative. I kept running into dead ends. I may have given up too soon."

The crew was punctual and professional and did a great job. This was for a house that I was preparing for sale. They communicated well and after preparing the floors put down some sample stains so I could make the best selection of stain colors. The results are beautiful and I received compliments from everyone who saw them. The house sold in two days!
I am happy to recommend Tom and his crew and would definitely use again if / when the need arises.

I was very pleased with the response time and Tom in general. He got me an estimate by email within the time frame he said he would. We ended up going with another contractor, however we would go back to Tom for anything else we needed done. My only remark is that the bid could have been itemized or described better on what exactly it entailed. Would hire in the future, just didn't work out for this particular job.

Tom's big on doing the job right, and I fully believe that the value of our home easily went up as much as the cost of this job. We had no idea the original floor could be matched, and figured there would be a division, but Tom's crew laced in new boards, refinished the original room to the color of the new floor, and his crew worked long hours in an attempt to finish as quickly as possible. I know there's sanding and staining smells and its tough to live with any floor install, but they did their very best to knock out a quality job in as little time as possible. They even hand cut each individual board to work around the natural rocks in my fireplace, rather than doing it some cheap and easy way. They left me a batch of stained color samples on the floor after install and before finishing so we could see what we liked best. We are thrilled with the final product.

"I have missed appointments before but usually the client calls to see if I'm coming. When this happens, I either get there late or we reschedule. I always let them know how much I appreciate the second opportunity to serve them and I always assure them that when I schedule their project, it will go much smoother. I love Angie's List. These reviews really are genuine and from the heart of each person who wrote them. I know I probably inconvenienced this Angie's List member that day and I hope he found someone else to help him. Hopefully, you'll read the reviews of the people who we have actually done work for and judge me on those as well. If I don't show up for an appointment and you call me, I'll get there as fast as humanly possible or we can reschedule at your convenience. I know how inconvenient it is when someone doesn't show up and I'd like to apologize to him. It happens to me too, I'll go to an estimate and nobody is there, they don't answer their phone, and you never hear from them again. I don't take it personal, I figure "life" happened and if they really need me, they'll call back. -- He mistakenly wrote "Work completed November 01, 2014" No work was ever done since I never gave him an estimate. He also wrote approximate cost $2,000.00 again, I never gave him my estimate. He rated my price and quality as "F" also and never experienced either of these."

Tom and his crew were professional, punctual, and very easy to work with. They did what they said they would do and did a great job. The floors turned out beautiful, and they performed the very few punch list items efficiently and to our satisfaction. I would highly recommend Tom to any of my friends. Just a great guy all around, and we would definitely call him again for other work.

Tom's team was excellent to work with - incredibly punctual, thorough, professional, and talented. We let them know that we were under a harsh deadline to get the floors finished in time for our move. They completed everything ahead of schedule for less than what the other guys quoted us. Our job was not the easiest, as we had a cracked slab so they had to float the base and work around some mason work (stone hearth). They actually cut the wood around each piece of stone so it looks like the floor had already been there and the rock was laid on top of it. Beautiful floors, solid craftsmanship, timely, and reasonably priced. Thoroughly pleased with this experience.

The job went off without a hitch, but the sanding ended up being the entire entry hall (6' x 11'). It was stained, refinished and blended with the remaining refinished surfaces beautifully! Superb job overall. They even came back the following day to move the furniture back onto the refinished surfaces (2 big bookshelves and a cabinet). You couldn't ask for nicer, more professional and caring people to have in your home!

All the work was done by one employee, a polite young man named Manuel. Manuel arrived about ten in the morning and never looked up until eight that night. We had to beg him to stop long enough to eat a sandwich. He finished the job the next day, but ran out of grout (not his fault) with three tiles left. Tom, the owner, came out the next morning and finished the job himself.
I was quite happy with the quality of work and the look of the floor.
