"Facts: Sullins Project As the Sales Manager for the Grand Lake area Statewide Exteriors office I would like to add to this posting, just the FACTS. I do know that in dealing with the public that it is impossible to please everyone. This is construction, our crews are human and things will happen and when they do Statewide Exteriors will honor our 5 year workmanship warranty and be there to take care of it. 1st – “Mysterious Hail” I was referred to Member from one of her friends who we had put a roof on for him earlier in the summer. As we do with every customer, our sales people will inspect the roof and if we see signs of hail and or wind damage that would warrant THEIR insurance companies adjuster to come out then that is what we suggest. That was the case here. HER insurance company sent out their adjuster and HE obviously saw the “mysterious hail” because HE totaled BOTH of her roofs (house and rental house next door) and paid for full replacement. Statewide Exteriors does not have anything to do with the approval of any claim. I helped her through the process, that’s it. I guess I apologize for getting you 2 roofs totally replaced for $500?!?!?!? And as per the agreement Statewide Exteriors did the work for the insurance reimbursement and she paid only her deductible. FACT #2: “The work is to begin two weeks after acceptance”…… NEVER on any job is it two weeks after the job is accepted by the insurance company. It is always @ 2 weeks from when we receive 1st check. And that is sent from the insurance company which wasn’t cut until 7/16. That is what Member was instructed. We will use the 1st check to buy materials and it puts the customer in line for production. I received 1st check on 7/26 and the job started on 8/25. 2 weeks in the summer is a good estimate for time of production but as I tell everyone it is not exact. As in this case, extreme heat, rain and jobs in front of her having unexpected delays caused it to take longer to get started. Which I could do nothing about and apologized for, that’s all I can do. FACT #3 – “Poor workmanship” There was a edge of her roof that did needed to be built up underneath in order for her nails to stay secure. That was noticed after the fact and we did come right out and make it right. It should have been done right the first time, I agree, and that crew was dealt with. Point being, we did come right out and make it right. Mistakes happen on occasion but we will do everything we can to make the customer happy. We honor our 5 year warranty! We do not have an A+ BBB rating for nothing. FACT #4 – License, Bonded and Insured Statewide Exteriors has always been bonded, licensed and insured. Oklahoma did not require roofing contractors to buy a license until it was made a law in November of 2010, which we immediately purchased. Her roof was put on in August of 2010! Any customer can also have a copy of our 2 million dollar insurance policy certificate sent directly to them from our insurance carrier at any time. Statewide Exteriors does not run and hide when mistakes happen. Just call, PLEASE!
